I like Brock...He has nothing to be ashamned about in his loss to Wlad...Calvin is one of those guys that are good for the sport.....IMO with some better training and more experience I don't see why he couldn't hold one of the titles out there....With the divission in the state it is in today it is more than just a possibility

A good chin at Heavyweight is positive factor.. it keeps you in the fight when its going tuff.

Brock does not really roll with the shots per say , Brock takes them flush on, I don't see a positive outcome for Brock when this happens.
Taking a punch straight is not bad when you fight a guy like Sam Peter....who doesn't throw straight power punches. It's bad when you fight a guy like Wlad who throws straight hard punches.

Brock has great defense and I think he is a good enough boxer to outbox Sam Peter....I honestly feel he's a better all around fighter than Sam Peter.

Brock could beat Valuev and Maskaev....maybe not Shannon Briggs unless he could take Shannon into the later rounds then he'd win but he's got to weather that storm for 2-3 rounds

....you think I'm joking, I give Calvin Brock a good shot at beating Sam Peter.

Calvin is a good solid boxer and Sam Peter is a brainless puncher

he doesn't set it up LG...he's not a bad fighter but he could be a lot better.

Brock is a solid fighter, all around

It's all just a matter of opinion no doubt, but to me Brocks foot work is nothing special. Brock is flat footed for the most part and is an under conditioned athlete ( not in the best of shape) .. Not on his toes like Evander Holyfield circling his opponent landing great jabs and combinations ,.. Brock fights fairly still and would trade with Peter and eventually come up short in the match,. its not like Brock is some kind of elusive type fighter that can't be hit. The guy was made to be hit.

Brock has a good defense.....he has only been caught by Wlad and Jameel McCline.....he's shown a pretty good chin as well.

Brock is a guy who will stand close to his opponent but he doesn't get hit that often.....and Sam is used to REACHING for his opponents.

If Brock stays in the pocket vs Sam he'll be able to deflect those bombs and counter.

I'm not saying it's a 100% given, I'm just saying there is a chance of it happening, that's all.

Lyle...go get a bar of soap & wash off your hate.

You need to let it go. YES Peter dropped Wlad many times in their fight. YES it was shocking that someone as rough & unskilled as Peter could push Wlad around the ring. YES we all realize that you can't give Peter his props for improving.

Seriously, let it go. You'll feel better about yourself once you deal with this bi-polaresque obsession of yours.

Peter is more than a brainless puncher. He's improved & it's shown.

He lasted 12 with one of the most skilled heavies of the game when he fought Wlad. He defeated one of the most technically gifted fighters in the game twice when he beat Toney.

He could handle the tap dancing banking real estate selling boxer.

You have to watch Brock's previous fights. He lucked out against Bostice when he made it to 12, he had issues with Ibrag, & everyone can land a bomb once & a while as he did with Lawrence. He's looked lack lustre of late & saying that he'd have a good shot at beating Peter?

Yeah...the only Peter he'll have a good shot at beating is his own & maybe only then with a bottle of lotion.

Again Lyle...wash off your hate. Your losing your street cred here.

Speaking of which...where's the gotdam sombrero? Keep it real.

Hey Zuri Lawrence was a tough cat when Brock fought him.....the guy just beat Jameel McCline and Brock BLASTED him.

Sam Peter is a good power puncher but that is IT....he can't box.

Oleg Maskaev has a decent shot vs Sam Peter....Oleg has a decent shot vs a lot of guys.

I did see him gutted by Correy T-Rex Sanders though.....wow, Oleg just got lost for a second then KA-BLAM he's done

Lawrence was soft opposition...so was McCline...as it appears now. The Bostice fight was something to see...it gave me a good idea of what Brock's chin was like...because Bostice aint a knockout artist...but he connected a few times & Brock felt it.

That being said...it was a good bloody toe to toe match & Brock gutted it out. I was impressed...but since then...he's looked less than stellar.

Didn't see it...but Oleg's got heavy hands...but he's too slow. Peter would out hustle him down the stretch IWO.

Oleg likes to brawl too much......too bad for Rahman so did he, only he wasn't as good as Oleg.

Sam Peter is good but there is still work to be done.....like JAB

I think if CB has a very good defence and doesnt get caught by Peter early he has a good chance of winning it. I think it would be a good heavyweight fight for that fact, knowing sam is gonna KTFO CB. But if he holds on he should do well.

Brock doesn't have the fire power to keep Peter off of him for 10 rounds. His defense is solid but not exceptional enough to keep Peter from landing the one flush shot he needs to KO Calvin. If Peter stays true to his form from his last fight against Toney and comes in behind a stiff jab he will beat anyone except for Wlady.

Apparently you either missed the 2nd Toney fight...or you just refuse to acknowledge it.

Peter owned Toney with a jab that was in constant repetition...hell...he even dropped Toney with a three shot jab that connected on the last rip to push him down in the 2nd.

Peter is improving & I really REALLY hope that he pulls out all the stops. He seems like good people.
