Tyson always fouled....he only bitched when someone did it back.
....come to grips dude, Tyson wasn't perfect he lost and there were fighters who would have beat him at ANY POINT in his career
This is a real crock of crap! Tyson was up drinking and smoking dope until 3 A.M. the night prior to the Douglas fight and suffering from a Caligula complex.
Watch the tape of that fight and Douglas got a really long count after the knockdown. He should have been counted out. However, that's no excuse for Tyson
to come in the ring with a hangover and not take it seriously.
The Holyfield fight: That's just idle speculation at this point. I know this, though - Holyfield in his prime could do more than hold his own with the best of them.
i know tysons not perfect and i have good grip thanx...i know mike tyson cant beat everone but i feel he could take a UD over holy in his prime...why is that opinion so outragious in your eyes?Originally Posted by Lyle

at least im being realistic! most delusional tyson fans would say tyson could ko evander in one round and that if he came back today and trained hard he could unify the division....i hate this breed of tyson fan, they make me sick

Holyfield's smothering style and high punch output would always be difficult for Tyson to cope with whether it was in 1988 or in 2000
Agreed. Holyfield was amazing. I just wish he would have watched the head-butting a bit. If Holyfield was fighting at HW in 1988, I would haveOriginally Posted by Lyle
still given him a good shot.
dont get me wrong,i like holyfield as a fighter,he was an absolute animal at cruiser and a great warrior...but its my opinion that prime 4 prime tyson wins a hard fought UD...thats my story and im sticking to itOriginally Posted by Lyle

Nice topic icecold . Youve got good tasteOriginally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
Theres so many variables to consider like would Tyson train like a demon for Evander back then or was his loss waiting to happen and he needed a defeat at that stage. Also was Evanders neck capable of absorbing Tysons uppercuts cuz he didnt have much of a neck to speak of until the second Bowe fight. Also both their styles differed from when they met in 96 . Holyfield was more of a mover bouncing on his toes and Mike in his youth had quicker upper body movement .
Alot of things make you sway back and forth on this 1 . Im kinda under the belief that Tyson was a monster and to me he is one of the greatest in his peak but Lewis and Evander style wise always had his number .
If Tyson would got past Douglas he would still have thinking "yes I'm better than everyone of them" he would have then been crush by Holyfield. I'm pretty sure of it.
Moreover since Tyson sparred against holyfield when the 2 were amateurs, he wasn't impress at all by Evander...then I really think he would have think about an easy bout before discovering too late he was in for the fight of his life.
BUT Speaking about a Tyson trained and motivated like he was before it would have been an absolute war and I see Tyson winning by ko. Tyson at his peak had too much for Holifield.
it's like a trained Moorer, he would win 9/10 against Holyfield if he's trained :-)
any 'good' version of tyson would of knocked a prime holyfeild out. im srry but if peopl like bert cooper can make him lose his feet then a good version of tyson could.
prime tyson - ko 7
preprison but defeated tyson - ko 12
after prison tyson - we all saw what happened there.
tyson nearly put holy down in round 5, if he was prime he could have fought that roun 5 every round 10 times better
A 1992 Tyson would have ko'd a 1992 holyfield round 1![]()
Ive no qualms with thatOriginally Posted by MR T
