Zhubin have you ever boxed a day in your life?For you to say that he is not great...your just a PBF hater.And Bird...the fact that people THINK that he is an a** has nothing to do with his boxing skills?People hate Allen Iverson,Terrell Owens,etc...it doesnt mean that they aren't great players!It seems that PBF has to beat DLH,Hatton,Margo,Cotto,Mosley,P.Williams,and who ever else calls him out in order for you to give him a little credit.I'd like to see Cotto vs Mosley...and then the winner take on PBF.I simply wasnt impressed with the Cotto/Malignaggi fight.

Olympian, do you KNOW anything about boxing? Because if you thing that Floyd is already an ALL TIME GREAT...you don't much about the sport...and instead come across as Floyd groupie. I have never said Floyd isn't a very talented fighter with the POTENTIAL to be an all time great. I have simply stated that he has not fought anywhere close the level of competition UP TO NOW...to be even close to being considered one of the sports all time greats.

People get so bent out of shape regarding Floyd.

The facts are that Floyd is one of the best fighters of this decade...he always has been & always will be.

Beating Oscar will mean alot...period. It has when other fighters beat him...thing is...it will depend on how Floyd beats him, if he does...but no matter what...he will not be respected for it.

Floyd handled some of the better fighters of our generation when he defeated Castillo, Hernandez, Chavez, & Corrales. Whether or not I like them outside of the ropes...I can clearly acknowledge their accomplishments inside of them.

Funny thing is...the above name fighters often recieve loads of praise & support...until you bring Floyd's name into the equation...then there is always something derogatory to be said about them & then it filters down to Floyd.

It's really stupid.

If Floyd had an attitude that appealed to the masses...say he acted like Oscar, Mosley, Taylor, or any of the other nice guys...he would be respected & recieve accolades in bunches.

If he colored inside of the lines so to speak...he would be loved. PERIOD.

Its Like everyone's beef with my boi SRL....IMO he gets stick from those who dont like him becuase of his personality outa the ring....and of course the decision with Hagler in which everyone blames Leonard for that not the judges which i personally find a tad odd....i fink he deserved a razor thing decision but i aint gona kik that one off agen.

I just have to disagree when you say he has defeated some of the best fighters of our generation...to say that is stretching it is an understatement. I have plenty of respect for Floyd's skills. I just don't have a lot of respect for his level of opposition. We just disagree on that point.

You said that...so if anyone is stretching something...that'd be you...but not recognizing who he beat or how he beat them shows a lack of respect...which you seem to have based on your comments abound.

Thing is...most people...I'm assuming like you...will say that Floyd never beat the best...even if he beats them. If Cotto were to beat & humiliate Cotto, Oscar, Margarito, or Hatton to name a few...it would end up panning out like this:

Cotto: To green & nothing but hype.
Oscar: To old & living off of his name.
Margarito: Never beat anyone worthy, hype machine.
Hatton: Protected fighter that had one good win.

Crap like that is already circulating in speculation...no matter what Floyd does...he will always face criticism from people that dislike him & nothing he can do will be enough.

you make an excellent point, CC #36 . Pretty Boy is a very smart business man, and to his own admission he will make the smart business decision above all else . There is nothing wrong with that I might add, We have all been guilty of trying to make the smart business decision , In boxing you got one body which is your money maker, when that’s finished and used up, your over as a fighter ! Floyd has the ability to fight who he wants , and in the past he fought guys in which he deems less threatening yet still profitable up until now he has never really been challenged , he has been superior to everyone he has faced which was his plan . , Floyd Mayweather is one of the most gifted boxers ever ! I agree Allthetruth...I believe that he is top 4 guranteed right now.Zhubin if you dont believe that any of those fighters can beat PBF then why say that he has to fight them?For those who question the quality of the people he has fought...who should he fight?I see no reason for a mosley fight.An arguement can be made for Hatton giving his profile in England and his stellar record.Margo...lol..the guy has 4 losses and hasn't fought anyone(PBF has 6 losses in his entire life).Cotto I believe needs to fight maybe 2 more top fighters.
