Why do a lot of tysons opponents think his power was overrated?.

Hahaha, didn't Toney also say that Merqui (SP) Sosa was a harder puncher? I can't remember if he said that after the Rahman fight or after the Peter fight.

You could tell by the way Tyson's punches landed, that he hit really hard. He just exploded his opponents into dust.

Here's a wacky opinion coming from a wacky guy...Tyson scared the crap out of fighters because there was NEVER a fighter that combined speed, power and combinations the way Mike Tyson in his prime did....As the legend of Tyson grew opponents expected brutality so when they were KO'd it was almost a let down from what they expected...so then come the quotes "he doesn't hit that hard", "I've been hit harder" and my fav "The ref stopped it too early"...these quotes came because these oppenents never expected to survive!
