Well I mean, if you grow up thinking your not tough, and then you survive an ordeal like that coming out of a coma and everything, then of course you're going to feel you have some toughness about you. I can't speak from any sort of experience and pray I never will have to but coming back from being hospitalized and in critical condition shows toughness.

What doesn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t make sense? The way I see it, if you been shot 3 times and your still living. Your pretty damn tough.
What your saying don\\\'t make sense. Look. I\\\'m ain\\\'t trying to bad mouth you or anything. It\\\'s good your alive. I give you credit. But getting shot don\\\'t make you tough. I don\\\'t care if you lived or not. You want to know what it makes you? It makes you a victim of a tough guy. Show my somebody you put slugs in as pay back for the tragedy put on your family and than I see toughness. But just getting shot and just living? Don\\\'t make somebody tough to me. But that\\\'s just the way I was conditioned growing up. It\\\'s not meant as a knock on you. So hopefully you don\\\'t take it as one.
Nah man it\\\'s cool. I don\\\'t take it the wrong way. I respect your opinion. Especially since it sounds like something my younger brother would of said. It\\\'s obvious you think different than me and probably most of the posters here as well. But you don\\\'t hide it. You speak your mind, no matter what. I don\\\'t see how anybody can not respect that.

I don't know maybe it's late but I just got a hilarious image of someone sitting at a computer adding /////// to your quotes for no real reason. That was honestly the funniest thing of my night so far haha I literally busted up laughing at my computer not really knowing why. I haven't stayed up til 1 sober since Christmas.

When I was 11 on a family holiday in Greece, I was stood looking over the hotel balcony. I heard this swirl and the wind was picking up, everything then went into slow motion. The opened balcony doors swang back into a closing position and the glass shattered all around me. I stood in the same position and didnt move though it felt like ages until everything came to a rest. I turned around and shards of glass were lying all around me. Some were huge many inches long. My parents rushed in to check what had happened. I hadnt a single stratch on me. It was a wonder how not even a small shard had pierced me.

I shall never forget that surreal incident...

Ive had a few, it makes you stop and think. Probably the strangest one was in the Lake District climbing on Great end. There were 8 people climbing the NE gully me and my partner wanted to do it, but decided to do the N gully instead. We got near the top and heard an avalanche came of the top walked under the face and the NE gully had Avalanched killing 8 people the biggest mountain disaster ever in Britain, shear luck we werent on it.

Lucky you didn't follow them up - the most dangerous things on crags are people. It's meant to be a good winter spot great end. I've been summer climbing in Borrowdale.

I've had a few forced nights out in the mountains in winter. When the darkness falls and the weather gets too bad to safely carry on. One time me and my pal were 14 hours curled up in what was effectively a bin liner during a windy blizzard. We didn't want to fall asleep, we were so cold, in case we didn't wake up again.

I got clipped by a van, the mirror a few mnths ago. I didn't even know the thing was there, I was with a bunch of friends and I was making room for people on the sidewalk and then out of nowhere I go hit in the shoulder and a white van was speeding off. Stop sign was about 30 feet behind me to so I'm pretty sure he blew the stop sign.

One of those big white cargo vans with the big broad fronts so he would have done some damage.

Took a Flight from Houston to Vegas years ago on some airlines called FunJet . this company obviously buys all the old used Continental Airlines carriages ! I get on board and sit-down in the old chair and could actually see the Continental Airlines logo through the shit paint job. I thought fuk what I have gotten into here? anyhow we take off, and about 20 min into the flight the engines start roaring up and cutting out , roaring up and cutting out the fucking electricity in the plane started going on and off , all the reading lights were flickering . I cried out " you fucking cheap bastard" while I am simultaneously ripping the upholstery off the seat in front of me from sheer terror. moments later the fucking masks drop out, and I am praying dear lord please get my country ass on the ground in one piece ! well after another hour and change worth of thrills we finally landed. went to the ticket counter and booked my return flight with Southwest ! tossed the Funjet round trip in the trash !
