We usually agree, but not this time man. Miranda will rip Pavlik's head off and shat down his neck! I think he would stop Jermain Taylor late. Last night's fight was not the war I hoped it would be, but it was pretty good. Miranda pressed the action and Green just played it safe, rolling his head to the right side to avoid the right and keepin his right hand up to block the left. He also clinched a good deal. He did manage to land his left hook and drop Miranda, which I was not surprised by. BUT Miranda got up like a champion and tried to close the show like a champion. Did you see him in the last round when the ref would break them? Miranda was chompin at the bit and literally running after Green trying to KO him, even with the big lead. Miranda is a very hungry fighter and he is gonna be a world champion.Originally Posted by bilbo

He's definitely got the heart no doubt about that, but I see him as an inferior version of Jeff Lacy. More natural strength maybe but less ability.Originally Posted by Hulk
When he fights a confident, master boxer he's going to get picked apart. Abraham rocked him a few times, Green dropped him and both were fighting on the back foot. A fighter like Pavlick with the reach and skills to keep him on the end of his jab all night could box his head off.
But I agree 100% that he never gives up and has all the heart and courage in the world. Plus if he can land he can take anybody out from 160lb to 175lb.
But history shows that all virtually all punchers get knocked out when they face a master boxer, and Miranda is not the greatest offensive fighter of all time. He has huge natural strength and a very hard punch, but that won't be enough to beat the world's best.
He could pick up a title for sure but he's never making it amongst the best in any division.
I agree 99%. I'm just not sold that Pavlik is a "master boxer" who can take advantages of Miranda's weaknesses like Calzaghe did to Lacy. He's got more skills, yes, but he still shows some flaws of his own, flaws that could get him KO'd by Miranda. I think Joe C or Jermaine Taylor probably take him to school. Pavlik MAY be a guy who can do it, but I'm not going to be sold on him until I see him in with a real fighter.
