Golota and Adamek both fought on June 9 or 13th depending on who you believe ... they just played the fights last night on TV. Surprised I haven't seen anything on this (I did search!).

Golota had an easy time of it with Beast Bates. He should fight more. Could have been one of the greats of this era, Golota.

But Adamek was an absolute pleasure to watch in the ring against Pineda. He out-did Pineda in every way, boxing, slipping, scoring. When most boxers, after a combination, would have stepped back to regroup, Adamek seemed to start to do that, then stepped forward with another combination for good measure. He boxed like we want Floyd to do - with all the good ring movement and boxing skills, but aggressively outpunching and getting a TKO.

Lots of speed and agility for someone at that weight - just under 200 lb. A fun fight to watch.

Just to follow up on this, I read about two weeks ago that Golota will be fighting Frans Botha in the near future as both look to continue their comeback trails. I hear Botha was out of shape for his comeback fight, but still boxed considerably well for a guy that hadn't fought in 5 years. The fight should be in South Africa.

Botha said this after his fight. Boxing News magazine reported it.
