Many though Mundine would box more early on, but he was on a mission. I think the Mundine of last night would have given Calzaghe or Kessler a though fight!!!

He was in superb form!
Hehe, Mundine was the agressor? In the whole fight he might had 4 steps forward and landed 1 punch every second round.

well all that does is futher prove mundines got a champion heart....he can take a great shot he took the best kessler had and danny green one of the hardest hitting super middles and also antwan echols........mundines come in leaps and bounds sinse the kessler fight and they had a rematch clause but kessler paid the-man to step aside...............you obviously didnt see the fight.......mundine was in a class of his own, i for one was very impressed that he knocked soliman out, a feat no one else had accomplished including winky wright....

and if someone brings up ottke ill be sick

Very surprising for me, not to see Mundine win, but to see him destroy a very tough guy in Soliman was a big surprise.

I think a large part of it has to do with Mundine growing into a much larger super middlewight than he was when they last fought, and Soliman getting comfortable at 160. It really looked like a light heavyweight against a middlewight in there last night. Mundine was hurting Soliman with every shot while Soliman couldn't make a dent.

Mundine WILL NOT beat Kessler or Calzaghe. I still have my doubts about his heart, as I do with the heart of any of these guys who talk S*** and carry on like pork chops - they are doing all that stuff to mask their fear, insecurities and deficiencies (Ali was the only one who could back it up). Green couldn't exert enough pressure because he was weight drained, Soliman couldn't do it because he was too small.

But put Mundine in against a legitimate super middleweight who will take it to him for 12 rounds and he'll fold.

Mundine is at best an average size smw not looking like a light heavyweight. Soliman is just a midget.

I think Calzaghe would have most fits with Mundine than Kessler. Look at his fight wtih Bika. I think Mundine's speed would do a number on Calzaghe.

not me i remember it well one of the members sent me a video at the time of his first 10 fights and he was holding his own pretty well against Ottke before the KO but my post was more of a dig at Kessler rather than Mundine mate

just having a look on youtube for the fight and this is all they had....

its round 4 but if you listen at the start they had Mundine winning 2 out of the first 3 rounds

I get the impression from his remarks that being the Middleweight champion holds more prestige.
He is right of course and he only needs to drop 7lb to do it! He walks around between fights very close to his fighting weight anyway so it wouldn't be a stretch for him.
If he gets a shot at Kessler again or a fight with Calzaghe he would be mad not to take it though.
He would be a handful at 160 and I expect him to chase Taylor and or Wright by years end.
