Yeah i know fella i was only joking! But very late tbh mate....Holmes is a tough nut for anyone, great chin in his prime aswell but i just see around the 10/11th mike landing bombs galore and the ref stepping in.

not bad way of seeing it im not completely sure holmes would win but i see him winning 12 round decision but he tastes canvas in middle rounds

I think a lot of people purposely underestimate Tyson in fear of being labeled as one of the "uneducated, casual" boxing fans who hug Tyson's nuts. Just my opinion and not really directed at anyone in this thread...

That being said though, I think prime Holmes wins both. I have a really high opinion of Holmes, so much so that I would pick prime Holmes against prime anyone. While Frazier and Tyson would obviously have big puncher's chances, I'd still pick Holmes to outpoint both of them. Holmes was a tough guy, for him to take that Earnie Shavers bomb and not only get up but continue to win the fight was just incredible. I love Frazier and I love Tyson, but my money would go on Holmes all the way.

I think Frazier is a great fighter but, i don't see Frazier beating Larry Holmes. Larry will jab and move his way to victory. Joe got hit too much. As far as Tyson go that is a real hard one too call. When they fought i don't think Larry was that far removed from the fighter he use to be, but he did lose a step. Actually i am not sure i can see it going both ways. I am confused.

IMO Holmes' reached his peak in the Cooney fight.Everything came into motion that night. I believe that Larry would take both Frazier and Tyson.Constantly moving pumping that beautiful jab and that sharp right hand. You give me the Holmes who fight Spinks I believe both Frazier and Tyson would eat him up.

I go for Joe Frazier against big Larry, Prime Frazier 1968-71 was an awesome force, i think the first Ali fight took a lot out of him and he was never the same fighter again. Foreman blew him away in 73 but up until then Frazier was like a steam train coming at you. Like Ali found out in 71 Holmes would have found Frazier an awkward target coming at him from those unusual angles.
Prime Tyson in 86-89 has the same result when they actually fought.
I like Larry Holmes, i actually think he would have beaten Lennox Lewis easily over 15 rounds.

I think that a prime Joe Frazier (Ali I) beats Larry Holmes but I think that a Prime Larry Holmes stops Tyson. The accumulation of Holmes' very good punches would break Tysons heart and eventually drop him and Tyson didn't like getting up off the deck but even if he did Larry would stop him soon after IMO.

I always thought Holmes was as good as Ali mk 2.

Holmes would have his way with the same fighters as Ali did. They were almost identical as in Ali and Holmes would beat Foreman, Foreman would always beat Norton and Frazier but Frazier and Norton would trouble both Ali and Holmes.

You kind of see it in the way the both beat Shavers but struggled with Norton. And style wise Holmes vs Frazier would be an epic just as his fights with Ali were.

Holmes win both fights by UD IMO. I think a prime Tyson would be the more difficult fight though. Holmes jab wins the fight for me!

Holmes wins both. Perfect style matchup for Larry. He is the blueprint for the type of fighter who can beat both Tyson and Frazier.
He's a tall fighter with a long reach and a GREAT jab, and they're both short fighters with short arms who are vulnerable to good jabs.

No i don't think Tyson ko's everybody but i do think a prime Tyson would still ko a prime Holmes and regards to bonecrusher smith he was their just surviving for 12 rounds he did'nt realy open up and tucker was a good fighter he was unbeaten when they met and years later went distance with lennox so he could'nt be that bad

tony tucker went distance because he used movement and gave tyson some trouble correct ?? right holmes was far better at movement and speed than tucker in his prime and holmes chin was excellent aswell so why cant holmes go distance ??
