My neighbour across the road is an old guy from who came here from Ireland, 40 years ago! and his accent is still as if he got here yesterday... Irish accents seem to stick around for a long time.. Which is good if your a patriot Irishman living in another country..

Where I come from the local accent is nice and soft though so I would be an easy guy to understand in comparison to guys from Kerry and Donegal. Have you ever heard John Duddy speak, well he has a nOrthern accent, (the complete opposite of mine) but his is relatively mild!

I havn't heard John Duddy speak no.. I've heard a couple of really strong Irish accents, and if they talk fast, you can very easily miss a whole sentence trying to figure out what the first word they said was...
I'm trying to think of the boxer that moved to Las Vegas and fought Morales and Larios... His name has totally escaped my mind right at this second, but he's from Dublin and sometimes he was a little hard to understand... (i'm going to be trying to remember his name all night now)

In the movie Snatch where they have the "Pikey's" with Brad Pitt, I always wondered if anyone over their has accents that are that strong... It's almost like a different language..

You thinking of Wayne McCullough no doubt! Again a Northern Accent! he was from the war torn Belfast but relocated to Dublin and later Las Vegas where he now lives trains and writes for the Ring magazine!

Brad Pitt's accent in Snatch was a very good representation of what Irish Gypsy's sound like! Seriously I know a few guys that are worse!

Yeah I don't mind Natural Light. i grew up on it. In the summer I drink alot of Natty, esp. when I play beer drinking games as it is cheap and doesn't bloat you as bad. But Budwieser Bottle is what I drink when I am at teh bar, as they dont have natty or stag on tap.

Thats the Dublin accent and again, it's not actually the worst Dublin accent I've heard....
