    Sorry....connection issues.

    Round 4:

Lawton jabbing, and as Thaxton charges in, the ref warns Thaxton for using the shoulder. Hard right from Lawton, and a jab. Overhand right from THaxton. Thaxton looking marked, with a trickle of blood from the sifde of his right eye. Body shot from Thaxton, and a jab. Jab from Lawton. Body shot from Lawton, but two hard body shots from Thaxton really sounded hard. Jab from Lawton again as Thaxton comes forward. Body shots from Thaxton, but Lawton retors with a left hook. More body work from Thaxton. Good jab and uppercut from Thaxton. Big right from Thaxton, but Lawton back with a jab.

The ITV guys are singing the praises of LAwton, but I got another Thaxton round.
    40-37

    Round 5:

Big right from Thaxton wobbles Lawton. He pins him in the corner and unlaods a body shot, then a right hook upstairs.Jabs from Lawton, and catches Thaxton again from the netrance. Lawton off the back foot, picking off Thaxton as he comes in. haxton still wewinging, but a good left on the chin of Lawton. Body shot from Thaxton. Lawton seems to be going over the head of the ducking Thaxton a fair bit, as he has to punch down.

Tied again, as theyboth do well.
    50-47

    Round 6:

Good left hook from Thaxton. Quick flurry of body shots from Lawton, but Thaxton pops some harder body shots amd one up top. Good left form Lawton, but Thaxton is putting on all the pressure. With uppercuts and a hook, Lawton catches him once as he unloads three or for. Good right again, but Lawton's chin looks good so far. Body shots from Thaxton, body shot from Lawton. Jab from Thaxton, but as he come in Lawton picks off a jab and a hook. Thaxton back in his favoured Southpaw stance, throwing the right lead and a left to the body.
60-56, Thaxton is the better for me, as Lawton not quite doing enough.

    Round 7:

Thaxton opens with body shots, and then throws a huge right which looked as though it shook Lawton. REf takes em to the corner, as that's a horrible cut right on the toop of the nost of Lawton. Lawton thinks it'll be stops, and he comes forward with hooks, and catches thatxton, but takes a couple himself. Good left hookfrom Thaxton. Thaxton ducks, and Lawton tees off with some low uppercuts. That cut is horrendous, spillin blodd all over his face. Ggood straight right from LAwton, then takes two Thaxton punches on the gloves. Another huge right cracks Lawton, and he's stumbling left and right like a drunken Welshman. The ref waves it off, and the docs can finally clean off that cut
Good win for Jono, and a superb final punch.

Muxch as I think Lawton is a very nice guy, and he looked good, if wild in there tonight, I don't think that Norfolk accent should ever be allowed to get a world title....nobody would ever take him, oooh-arrr, seriously.

He did call out Amir Khan though, but I reckon that if Thaxton goes in like that, Amir would pick him off pretty easily, and if Amir's chin is decent, then he should win that bout.

good work mate in all honesty i think Lawton gave the stoke fans somthing to be proud of and he showed alot of guts against Thaxton who lets face it was way above anything Lawton has faced to date but he done himself proud

on another note knowing that Khan Promoter likes him facing fighters with no power % i think i can see them phoning up impact boxing to get Lawton... and i also think Lawton would give Khan his hardest fight to date

Yeah, Lawton did well, but wasn't really doing enough in each round IMO. He was very brave, but once that cut opened up he did throw some big shots before he got finished off by Lawton. I reckon Lawton would do well against Khan, better than Mdjajjjji or whichever other mediocre middle europe muppet he'll be fighting next time out.

Esham Pickering v Marc Callaghan for the British Super-Bantamweight title.

Normally a British title fight headlines, but neither of these guys is very popular, so I guess it's undercard time.

    Round 1:

Pickering comes out with a wild right hand whith wraps itself around Callaghan like a scarf. Long clinch as they wrestle. Uppercuts on the inside from Callaghan. Callaghan takes the middle of the ring and jabs, but Pickering is picking him off with jabs, and charges in with a jab straight jab combo. The ref has a word with them both. Nice left from Pickering. Uppercut and a hook catch Callaghan, but not much coming back from Callaghan. Nice left as Pickering swoops in by Callaghan. Two body shos and an uppercut as Callaghan charges in like a rugby player.

    Pickering
    10-9

    Round 2:

Cagey stat with Pickering jabbing before Callaghan plants the head down and charges into a clinch, popping some body shots. Hard shots upstairs and to the body from Pickering, and it is a lot of wrestling when the ydo clinch. Callaghan not doiung too much, and Pickering picking him off at distance. Nicce uppercut and then a straight right forces Callaghan to cover up. Short hook on the inside from Callaghan opens Pickering's eyes. Callaghan warned again for holding and wrestling. Hook on the inside, but Pickering replies with some snappy shots.

    Pickering dominating.
    20-18

    Round 3:

Good left from Callaghan as Pickering comes in, but Pickering throwung more accurately and better shots. Boidy shot from =Callaghan. Hook fro Pickering and Callaghan misses wildly with an uppercut. Callaghan has a piston like flurry of six or seven body shots. Pickering still more accurate with jabs and straight shots that pierc the tight guard. Pickering picking him off with jabs from the outside, as Callaghan swings and misses three times.

    Pickering 30-27

It might be just me being drunk...but I seemed to have passed out for Round 4, or they missed it out

    Round 5.

Nice body shot from Callaghan. Pickering with jabs, and Callaghan comes forward with three shots. Hard body shot from Pickering and Callaghen i tied up. He holds and arm over the chest and is fighting one handed. Pickering throws jabs and hooks and Callaghan looked really hurt with that body shot. Accurate jab from Pickering, and he's outworking his opponent, and throwing hurtful shots. always a good combo. Callaghan looking to come forward now, with a couple of big body shots, but Pickering is just doing well from range.

I assume he won the 4th, so 50-45
