The referee was only part of the story. You add Nady's incompetence to the judges INSANE scoring...you have a slap in the face to a great champion like Barrera.

Exactly . Barrera doesnt deserve to be treated like this . He kept getting hit low but Jay did nothing . 1st time Barrera infringed the rules , he gets a point off .

When Pac floored Jmm the 3rd time when he was holding onto the ropes , why wasnt he docked a point or do they only like ruining legends like Marco

Nady was way too slow to do anything!! I swear that I watched that incident in slow motion, Barrera seemed to wait an age before going in with that uppercut.

It was a very odd situation. It seemed like a knockdown on first impressions and Barrera did seem to hold back while Marquez went down. agreed totally i think when barrera floored marquez he was like huh ref hasnt said anything or credited me with knockdown so he prolly tried and made sure of it but it ended up costing him but what really annoys me is that even if barrera would of been credited with knockdown which he should of judges would of still had marquez winning comfortably and thats totally wrong imo

Nady, who I think is a fairly good ref, was right in position to see that crushing right hand that sent Marquez down to the canvas. What the hell was he daydreaming? Marquez had the entire round in the bag up until that punch, which I don't think he ever seen coming. Those are the ones that will always get you.

I know exactly what you're saying, Miles. Both me and my friend and his wife said that we were done with boxing after that disgrace of a decision. I'm shocked to get up this morning and find not one article calling the judges and Nady into question, doing some research on the 'judges' qualifications, and researching their affiliations.
The saying that a picture speaks a thousand words is sometimes misleading. But in this case, and I should openly admit that MAB is my all time favorite fighter, I think a picture captures the bizarre nature of the decision and scoring.

Exactly. All the Barrera fans are bitter because they were high on Lederman's score card. They were as happy as we were pisssed. If it turned out to be accurate all would be well with them this morning. Just like all is well with Marquez fans right now.

Barrera lost and I am happy for it.
