Saying guys like Berto etc is a bit OTT in my opinion, these guys have barely had any fights, its too early to start calling them P4P best! Rafael Marquez will be close,he can beat Vazquez again,De Leon, the fricking freak Caballaro! Manny can fight JMM/MAB,Valero,Soto,Guzman,that's alot of good fights to be made. These 2 will be the main contenders imo.

Winky is near the end of his career,JT has stated he does not want to be around boxing for too much longer and his wins are never convincing enough to make himself P4P number 1 so that rules these 2 out pretty much for me(hypothetically speaking of course because things can change so quickly!).

If I HAD to pick someone who appears to have a really bright future ahead,it has to be Cotto. At 147,if he clears up,he will be p4p number 1. I also like Valero's chances as long as he CLEANS UP HIS FWOCKING TECHNIQUE!! Oh and DEFINITELY jOrge Linares,I'm a big fan of nino de Oro,his skills are superb.

Even though Taylors wins haven't been "convincing"...look who he has taken on.Nobody looks impressive against Hopkins,Wright.Taylor wont be around long anyway so.I definitly dont see Cotto being p4p anytime soon because he just isnt impressive to me after seeing his last 2 fights and he has to many flaws.1.He swings wide when throwing hooks.2.He relies on his body shots too much.3.His defense is C- when he is trying to stay in the pocket an brawl...making his head an easy target.4.He could definitly work on his footwork and combinations.I have no idea who is gonna step up...but as of right now I see no clear cut favorite.

I'd have to go with Cotto, even over Kessler.

Volero? I think he's way too sloppy and he'll be exposed sooner than later.

I see Pac Man on the very highest point of his curve, he is getting too old to fight the way he does pretty soon somebody exactly like him will come along and beat him, or he will be outboxed soundly. AFter the Morrales fight I thought Zaheem could be p4p champ, but he fought horribly against Freitas.

Also you see Taylor losing to anyone in the immediate future of the middleweight division? I see him beating anyone out there still, Pavlik, Miranda are not fast enough, or good enough to fight Taylor. Did people see Miranda's last fight? His footwork looked akin to Valuev's when he was trying to actually box.

D-Hop..... He struggled against Frobes, hardly a sign of future P4P status...

    Valero?

I don't follow the lower levels of boxing so I am wondering what are your opinions.

Sugar Shane Mosley is on the right track to be on the pound for pound list. He has all the tools and at 147 he isnt beaten. FACT.

Cotto is very tough too.... On his way as is Kessler if he takes big fights. Or can make the big fights.

PBF isnt retireing. FACT. He is too greedy and wants the limelight to0 bad. Any thoughts.

I also dont see Hatton losing anytime soon at 140 if he takes care of himself..

Shane Mosley isn't as good as Mayweather, and shouldn't ever be put on that plateau again.

What a question!!! Pacman is already the true pound for pound king. The more appropriate question is,"Who will be next p4p king after Pacman?"
