Sorry mate, but if Andrade is an "average" mexican, then Manfredo is a fu**ing joke. Andrade was a rated fighter, and whatever it takes Palle and Warren need to get their heads together and make the fight happen.
That's how I meant that - I'm really good at not getting my point across

I thought it funny that JC was pointing fingers at Kessler's competition right before a bout with Manfredo.
    Hilarious.

What Calzaghe is saying is that people are now putting Kessler on the high boat with this win over Andrade. Andrade wasnt the second coming of anything! Calzaghe has never pretended that Manfredo is a gladiator...

Calzaghe has fought superior opponents when compared to Kessler thus far. This is surely not in dispute.

I agree that JC has better names on his record, but he's also has a much longer career. Kessler's still relatively young. I'm a fan of both fighters, but JC has a habit of fighting boxers WAY beneath his skill level.

Proportionally, Andrade is a much tougher opponent than Manfredo.

Also, if Joe wants to disprove Kessler's claims to be the next big thing at SMW, there's one definitive option - quit talking and start fighting! There's no reason why this fight shouldn't happen pronto.

A better record does indicate a known boxer with known for sure skills

I never denied that Manfredo is less that Andrade.

Agreed. Calzaghe: Kessler needs to follow this Manfredo debacle

It will be a huge fight!!!!

coming into the lacy fight calzaghe was said to be the underdog, lacy the next big thing.. now people liek you call lacy an overrated shite... Taking a shot at kessler does 2 things

    1. forces people liek your self to come out and state things about how good kessler is, how it does benefit joe form winning, so when he wins it will shut people up

    2. people say the fight is big now, wait until its signed, this just adds to the excitment.

Lacy was only the next big thing for some of us - I have a record of saying that Jeff was overrated since his stoppage against Gaidarbek Gaidarbekov in the Olympics. He was much more out boxed than by Calzaghe and then stopped.

Not to be proud but I told you from the very start that Lacy was nothing more than top 25 EU SMW as his amateur record very accurate shows. He lost to Magee by KO, to Ashira by KO, to Quentin Smith (and was handed the Olympics by a very dirty win - Lacy lost 2 out of 3 wins against Smith - in my book all 3)

I followed national amateur boxing close in 12 year and also the Americans as Lacy (and he was very nothing special in the amateurs) - but one day after I left the amateur training, than this guy Gery Shaw started to show that this very average amateur guy, who has always lost on the world scene, was the next big thing.....I was amassed....

Lacy is a good guy but not a good boxer, please understand it....

His toughest fight? Are you joking?
No I'm not joking Robing Reid gave Calzaghe his toughest fight.

Did you think I meant someone else?
Yeah 1 judge gave that to Reid by 5 rounds . There should have been an immediate rematch but we missed out on that . Now Reid is washed up anyway .

Kessler and Joe would be a massive fight . I dont know where it might happen but if it did , it could rival 35k for this fight . Hope it happens but it probably wont
Personally if it takes place it will be in one of two places IMO. Millennium Stadium of the football stadium in Copanhagen where Kessler fights. Much as a neutral venue in Vegas would be fairest, I reckon it will depend on which of the promoters caves in first as to who gets home advantage. It would be a full house wherever it is.

Sorry mate, but if Andrade is an "average" mexican, then Manfredo is a fu**ing joke. Andrade was a rated fighter, and whatever it takes Palle and Warren need to get their heads together and make the fight happen.

When Joe refers to a "carbon copy" he, as Fenster correctly points out, is referring to the situation with Kessler rather than the fighter himself. People are talking up Kessler big time, like they did Lacy, and as long as the fight gets made the situation is resolved.

And if anyone with any sway reads this, remember one thing:

Right...don't see that fight ever coming to be.....and Manfredo has been rated as high as 4th before so as far as him being a F**king joke I would hold off on that one till after this fight.....and then we can go from there....One fight at a time....
It feels good to be back home.

Calzaghe is putting down Mexican fighter's now?

What a phuking racist mother phuker this fool turned out to be.

I am glad the fool you are fighting is Italian. A Mexican American kid beat the crap out your next opponent.

    Phuk you Calzlappy!

What the bleeding heck are you talking about Danny? I've read through the interview again and I can't see anything that could be construed as racist in there, but if you have any better information I'd welcome it. And I won't mention your spelling

Agreed.......And Andrade is DAMN tough...I don't fault IKessler for not getting him out of there I mean Shit what more could he do....Baseball bats are illeagle...and afger that fight I am not even sure one would have helped.....

I will say this....If Andrade had better boxing skills he might clean out the F'N division himself....Cause you sure the hell ain't knocking him out and if you can't outbox him your night is long and on the losing end

I was shocked to see you pull me up on something again honest i was but i thought Lacy was overrated before he fought Calzaghe i had Lacy as underdog but the Kessler fight is a completely different fight alltogether Kessler can fight and i would say its a evens fight.Lacy struggled with Shieka so i knew Calzaghe would beat him the only chance i gave Lacy was the ko if he landed in terms of boxing ability Kessler is miles ahead of Lacy and he can bang also this fight would be great for Calzaghes career and the boxing fans.Preme i don't know why you always choose to fight me on everything are you going to the fight saturday?
