i was thinking of switching to a vb board but there is no saying that, that wouldn't have the same trouble... but thus far it seems to be running better just need a wacko round by round to really put it through its paces

You using a persistent-connection on your core config ? or using cache acelerators

We have a trubo charged flux capacitor running at full duplex with go faster stripes. Hope this helps

yeah mate own server all the shared hosts kicked me off for using too many of the server resources.

i stopped using persistent connections when the forum was playing up last year on the old dedicated server i had and that sorted out the problem at the time never used them since.

funny you mentioning the cache as that is one of the things i used to speed the place up... the server didnt have an acelarator inststalled so i added one to the php yesterday not my strongest subject messing with the server vis SSH but got it installed and seems to be working a treat also changed some of the database table formats to cope better.

seems to have solved the problem.

I have been in a couple of forums this last 2 week trying other waters in other sports and by far this is the most complete of all. Maybe change a layout or color would be fun but I think that might take some time.

it drops off for me at 3am eastern time dunno if thats this site or my computer but it does seem to be much faster for the most part.
