Lets not drift from the question Would Calzaghe have beaten Eubank who beat Benn in 1990?
No, they don't compare. Have the Benn vs. Eubank fight on tape. Joe has never been in the trenches in such a war.Originally Posted by tysonbruno

Yeah it was one of the greatest wars I've seen in the world of boxing.
I enjoyed Watson vs Eubank 2 better personally because Watson was like windmill non stop punching it was terrific fight shame about tragedy though.Originally Posted by WWatt
Bottom line is Calzaghe did'nt get everything his own way with the older weight drained Eubank how could he have beaten Eubank at his best bottom line is he could'nt
Benn v Eubank I and II Eubank v Watson II, Benn v G-Man, even to this day wrench my gut when I watch them, I don't think anything on these waters have come close to those battles, Shea Neary v Andy Holligan and Moore v Macklin are of the same ilk though.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
To stay on topic. NO Calzaghe wouldn't have.
You have to remember it wasn't exactly a prime JC either, it was a huge step up in opposition and he had prepared to fight Collins not Eubank.Originally Posted by tysonbruno
A better question would be: Would the Calzaghe that beat Lacy have beaten the Eubank that beat Benn (That's prime for prime imo)

I think the Eubank that beat Benn would have taken Calzaghes heart even the Lacy Calzaghe Eubank wanted that so bad he went through hell but he would'nt be denied swallowing his own blood for round after round he did'nt even tell his corner he had the split in his tongue because he knew they would stop it a man like that in that frame of mind is a very dangerous man he were'nt going to lose Benn was better than Lacy could ever be
Calzaghe's workrate would give him the decision
HELL NOE
chris eubank was focused in the 90's
iknow calaghe would have thrown a lazy jab eubank would throw that crazy overhand right lol
would make see birdies like off of street fighters
what s.middleweight had more power than him
