Terrible Tim sparring for comeback

I wouldnt like to see him Box again, but hes got to earn a living somehow, I wish him well, He shouldnt have bottled it with Don. But thats easy to say, anyway I like him.

What I do not get about Tim Witherspoon is why he did not train harder when he was in his prime.. Then now at 50 years old he wants to comeback. Why not train harder when you are 25 years old and do all you can to be good. But he didn't All ego. Tim had the potential to be great I think but he gave it away by looking terrible against Bonecrusher and Thomas . At least when Tommy Hearns comes back at the same age Tim Witherspoon is that Tommy put his all out in his prime and is a great fighter. But Tim came up short then, and why do we care if he is sparring.

When you're 25 you think that you can continue to do all the bad stuff like eating loads and getting pi***d all the time and still stay in good shape, and I suppose he always thought that "It'll do". When you're nearly 50 I imagine that you realise you can't do all that stuff without getting in the James Toney mould....and that's why he's putting in the tough training now. Not a great mindset, but I guess he was doing enough to get by.

Personally I'd have to add a clause into that with Prime Tim Witherspoon vs Mike Tyson on an off day would have been superb. Tyson was devastating at his best. Thanks for the CC Legend...returned it yesterday. S**t man, when I was 18 all I had to do to keep the weight off was go for a game of soccer on a Sunday afternoon and hit the gym once a week. It don't work seven years on I tell you, so I sympathise with motivational issues!
