I didn't see it as a cheap publicity stunt. I seen it as a brilliant publicity stunt. We are all talking about this thing and we all watched the whole damn thing.

I think Dana said. "If I am gonna get my ass beat, I might as well get some advertising out of it".

Also as a business man I think the UFC partnership with Spike tv is brilliant. That is why they are packing the houses for every event they do, and have tons of sponserships. They are running their business well, and whether it was for publicity or not, you won't see Don King or Bob Arum getting in the ring with any of their pissed off former fighters.

But damn I would pay to see Don King in the ring with Mike Tyson, or ODH vs Bob Arum. There's some marketing that boxing could copy from......

I can't stand Dana White! In that show he said,"Tito let me out?" like he was gonna do something.
That was probably the best news Dana ever recieved.
Dana is a bigger shit talker than even Tito! Before the Hughes vs St.Peirre fight,Dana said that "Hughes was the best pound for pound fighter in the world".Then he got destroyed!
Before the St.Peirre vs.Serra fight he said that St.Peirre was the best pound for pound fighter in the world, and he got KTFO!Who's next Genius?
(sorry for the spelling,I suck at it!)

well I think Dana should take a back seat to his fighters. I dont' like his "vince mcmahon" type persona. I think its bad for MMA. His antics although gain headlines only add to what some people see as a professional wrestling atmosphere. That being said at the time GSP fought Hughes only Fedor could claim to be a more dominant champion than matt. and before the GSPvs serra fight many people were lauding George as one of the best fighters in the world. While the Hughes gsp fight wasn't such a shock I think the betting odds were on the champs in both fight.
