Theres so many to mention depending on what you count as made it.. I think of it as big star level and recognition from the casual fan...

    Micky ward.
    Jab Zudah..Still has a chance
    Kassim Ouma
Its kinda close but great fighters like Julian Jackson, Terry Norris,Iran barkely Benn Eubank and lots of great middleweights/light middleweights never really made hugge paychecks in all fairness..
Prince Naseem..Was huge and the hype was big for as long as it lasted..
In my honest opinion i dont actually think pernell whittaker gets the credit he should as a fighter..
Kostya Tszyu gets credit from the big fans but not enough superfights to become as big as he could have

I may have kinda changed topic on this subject..Lol..But im sure a couple people can catch my drift

Ryan Rhodes was a star in the making to follow Naz but then his chin let him down

Micky Ward is a star among the sport...Micky falls into the Jerry Quarry catagory...Appreciated for his heart and desire showed in every fight just not physically skilled enough to maintain the top level....but that heart and desire will always make him a favorite among the fans

Despite the looks, skills and excellent Grim Reaper image Robin Reid never quite became the star he could or should have been. Probably due to who was around him at the time. Carl Thompson was another one. Very exciting, more bang for your buck that ten slugout shows but he was completely eclipsed by the Brunos, Benns, Hameds etc etc.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Its a shame he did'nt beat Calzaghe then they could have had a trilogy of their own it would have helped both there careers like Ali vs Frazier Benn vs Eubank even though they only fought twice Barrera vs Morales Bowe vs Holyfield

    Vargas is a good one..

People dont even give him the credit for only ever loosing to definate future hall of famers..
And even if he had lost that controversial decision over winky wright he'd still have the same claim..
On top of that i also had him up at the stoppage against mosely in the first fight :P Had to get that in!
He sure lets himself go inbetween fights and thats not good..But even now he could probably get some big fights to leave with some legacy but i think he probably wont be bothered and leave without fighting again.. Thats assuming that me hearing that vargas mayorga has actually been called off is right?!

I mean the man can fight he has had close decisions against delahoya, vargas, wright and forrest, if he could have beat one of them he would be making way more cash.

Can anyone think of other guys like this who you wish had a little bit more luck and became a star.
Michael Clark...I trained with him and was apart of his gym for awhile for over 2 years...great guy....very cocky....got his biggest spotlight on The Contender second season...but that weight was too much for him...he's a lightweight-LWW...won the WBO title....had a great record...but never took off to household name status...I tell everyone I know though...
It feels good to be back home.

Joe Calzaghe could have been a star but spent all his career fighting second rate fighters and kissing Frank Warrens ass
