i must disagree with this a disturbingly large amount, for if torres knew ANYTHING about finishing a hurt guy cotto would have been KTFO in that fight, it wasnt cottos actions that saved him, it was torres not knowing how to finish him off
WAY OFF man. If Torres could not finish Cotto in that second round,he was never going to finish him. He must have landed 25 plus power shots on Cotto's face and STILL didn't legitimately knock Cotto down,he pushed him. That tells me Cotto has a chin. What more could Torres do? He got gassed from hitting Cotto's face over and over! And this is a guy who had like 26 kos in 27 fights!
How did he look against that Mighty Mike guy who Holt just beat

Styles and fighters make fights and secondly Torres injured his right hand, his dangerous hand which is why he has not been in action for a while. And he still won.

I wouldn't say beatdown. I can't remember the fight but didn't mike knock him down then run for the rest of the fight? And Mike was taught a boxing lesson last night from what I've read.

Outclassed is more a word. Mike started clowning in the 3rd because I guess he thought he had Holt figured out. Then Holt started hitting him and started clowning him. The 5th round was the best of the fight. It was tactical but in the 5th round Holt did start clowning Mike, putting his hands at his waist and sticking his chin out and when Mike tried to hit him holt pulled back and hit him with a straight right hand. It got to a point where his corner told him to "Have fun but still be respectful" because he was really making Mike look bad

It was a tactical fight, not as exciting as it could have been but Holt did very good for himself beating Mike the way he did and flooring him to put an exclamation point on it.

What ever you do dont watch it unless you want to be put to sleep. A clash of styles that I never want to see again, basically both played the waiting game but Mike went forward and was the one countered more. The fight was so slow 1 punch would of won the round for either fighter and it was normally Mike getting punched.

I scored the fight 113 - 116 going to Holt (gave two rounds even)

If Zab says it then it must be true I say Zab knocks him out before the first round. His prefight shadowboxing makes Cotto feint and he hits his head on the canvas tko.

I don't think you're giving Torres enough credit. Corley may not have pressed his advantage as much as he could have, but Torres tried and tried. IMO, it DID have more to do with what Cotto did rather than what Torres didn't do.

Totally agree. Exactly what I said,Torres landed so many punches on Cotto's face,he became tired.Yet he still did not get the job done.and he had a what.98% KO ratio!

yes Holt should be fighting Torres next.

And I don't think the fight was that bad. But then again I'm not bored by non action fights. It was a very tactical chess match and I liked it actually. But if you like all out action wars then the fight will bore you.

I love both, tactical fights can be awesome,I personally loved B hOP V Taylor so I might watch it. Holt sounds like a good fighter, can box and brawl right?> He might be a bit too much for Torres.

Box and brawl but he has improved his defense a little too. And last night he showed a part of his game that really busted up Mike when he used it, his jab. he has a very very good jab and it was really evident.
