I don't think he will dominate Floyd yes he looked good against Mayorga but then so did Tito in his comeback but then Winky outboxed easy over 12 but against Sturm and Hopkins i thought Oscar looked awful and i think Sturm was robbed Mayorga made Oscar look as though he was back i don't believe it and im a fan of his i think Floyd easily out boxes him for a UD
I've got my outs..Originally Posted by El Gamo

People keep bringing up Mayorga. Listen, obviously Oscar picked that fight as a warm up/confidence booster. He fought Mayorga in a slugfest style because he wanted to knock him out and punish him...so when you fight like that you aren't going to look your absolute tactical best. As for Sturm and Hopkins...Oscar was fighting out of his weight class and didn't look his best....give him credit for at least testing the waters...no shame in losing to Hopkins at a weight that is no where near ideal for Oscar. And Floyd certainly has not been fighting stiffs for the past few years![]()
Am i the only one who think Oscar will dominate Floyd?Originally Posted by outspoken

Floyd beat Judah a fight ago. Can you name anyone Oscar's beat in the last 5 years as good as himOriginally Posted by zhubin
Or even with the same talent? I know Oscar has "fought" better fighters, but tell me one Oscar has beaten in his last 5 years that matches up to Zab(who was floyd's last opponent)? Then we'll talk about who's beaten who "recently"
Shane Mosley but Oscar got robbedOriginally Posted by Majesty

And Oscar lost to Felix Sturm who got robbed.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
But I did have SHane winning that fight. Once again because Oscar was fading down the stretch he didn't run, but Shane took the late rounds again and got the fight.
So can you name anyone else?
This is how i see it. Oscar is too stiff in the ring, Floyd is way more fluid, and has better angles yeah Oscar is bigger but you can't hurt what you can't hit Bert Sugar said the only person that had better defense was Willie Pep (or he could have been talking about Pernell Whittaker, but lets say floyd for freakin converstation!!). If this fight becomes a boxing clinic, then Floyd has an easy win. The only way I see Oscar winning is if he traps floyd in the CORNER and slugging, NOT THE ROPES!! because Floyd can get out of the ropes easily. I also wouldn't advise Oscar to do the Philly shell defense against floyd because he's just not good at it, Gatti was jabbin him through it so you know Floyd would be able to also. Plus, Oscar may have a steel chin, but he has a glass belly.
peace
Zab Judah!!!!! Okaaaaaaaaaaaaay. One of the mentally weakest fighters in the game. All flash and no substance. A man who has lost every big fight in his career...including a fight against CARLOS BALDOMIR. A great win for Floyd![]()
You can't compare Mosley and Pernell with Floyd because of 2 reasons:Originally Posted by El Gamo
1) Floyd has not fought the same type of fighters as Sweet Pea and Sugar Shane.
2) Floyd doesn't have the power to rock DLH with a punch or two. Floyd is all about speed, that's it.
And for those who compare him to Sugar Ray Robinson, technically Floyd and SRR are similar BUT SRR could end it with one or two punches. SRR is way way better than Floyd.
Like I said name someone Oscar's beaten in the last 5 years better.Originally Posted by zhubin
You do a great job of trumping Judah but haven't given me someone Oscar has beaten in the last 5 years to compare. How about it?
