When you look at PBFs record you see he fought opponents like Bruseles, Jukko, Agustus, Rios. Opponents who had NO business fighting for that title ESPECIALLY when they were coming off loses.

PBF claims to have been the best at Super. Feather BUT he never bothered to face another Champ. I've said this before and I'll say it again my money would have been on 'Popo' Freitas if they would have met around 1999 from what I understand they were suppose to meet but instead PBF opted to face Carlos Gerena instead of a unifying match with 'Popo'.... The best at Super Feather? I don't think so, he was ONE of the BEST at that time but how do we know if he was better then 'Popo'?

Not exactly a list of p4p fighters. All have styles that were picked to make Mayweather look good with the exception of Judah who was coming off a loss and has always been over rated by the US fight press.

The last dangerous live fighter he fought was Castillion back in December 2002.The fighters he fought previous to 2002 are of much better quality such as Castillio,Chavez,Corrales to name a few.

I think its a bit of a myth that Mayweather has been fighting the best out there and IMO Mayweather has been taken the easy option's for the last few years and this might be his down fall on the 5th.

    Cant wait.
Name another fighter at age 30 or less that has fought better competition. The list gets narrowed down to PAC and Jermain Taylor.
    ODLH baby!!!

CC#117 on me porkyparra the facts are there and if someone can reasonably justify how Augustus & Jukko got a shot at PBF I'll completely shut my mouth up and won't say anything more on the matter.

He fought Corrales thats the best at Super featherweight. PERIOD. He fought the best at Lightweight IN castillo. He fought Baldomir who could very easily IMO beat most other people in the welterweight division. I see him beating Margaritto, maybe Cotto, but not MOsley.

The fact is that most elite fighters have their opponents hand picked. The main deciding factor usually being..."Who's going to make me more money". This is nothing new. Take, for example....well...this fight.

We can go through DLH's record and find ALOT of low risk opponents. Heck, if you think about it, even Mously was regarded as low risk. The first time he had just recently moved up from lightweight and had a tough fight with Wilfredo Rivera who pretty much walked through most of his shots. And in the seccond fight, Mously was 0-2-1 no contest in his last three fights.

My point is, this is no big deal and it is not new. Not for some time now.

    Figures.
I bet you also think he fought the best when he fought Zab right?

Yes he did and he lost. Unfortunate for JLC he wasnt granted what he had rightfully earned.

Ah!! sh*t! Now I've heard it all....
Taeth for the most part I'll disagree with someone BUT if they are right they are right and I'll give them credit. But when they say stuff like this I got laugh.
    Yes Baldomir was the champ.
Yes Baldomir was considered the best.
But there is NO DOUBT in my mind he looses to Margarito, SSM and Cotto will flat out beat him from pillar to post. Baldomir doesn't take shots to the body well at all he showed that when Gatti threw downstairs and he also showed that against another lesser know opponent by the name of Jose Cruz. Who was behind on the fight and fought back by attacking the body and climbed back to get a draw. The featherfisted Baldomir probably has about 1 or 2 more fights in his career he himself has said hes getting old. For you to make the comment you made IMO is stretching out reality as far as it can be stretched. Now I'm gonna hear if Baldomir fought Margarito in his prime right?

People please! Even if you are the biggest Floyd fan in the world...you are doing him discredit and making him look bad by saying he has fought great opposition. It always makes me laugh when Floyd fans start listing out the names: Gatti, Mitchell, Baldomir, Judah, etc. The man is a great fighter...no doubt...but his resume in the last few years is pitiful. This might be his fault or not....but that's the reality. You can try and sugar coat his opponents: Gatti was a tough guy, Baldomir was the champ, Judah is super talented, blah, blah, blah.....it's total bs.....Floyd knows it....and deep down so do his fans. Not saying he cannot fight great fighters and beat them...but so far he hasn't.

I know what you mean, it's happened to me with JCC, Margarito and ODLH.
Oddly enough they all back up their talk and still get downgraded, go figure

    And I'm with 'ya....
There is NO DOUBT in my mind PBF is the most athletic, skilled boxer out there that I don't think anyone questions.
What is questioned is his quality of opposition and the fact that he claims to have fought the best.
Thats whats in question here and thats whats been questioned always. I don't I've ever read a post where someone bashe PBF for his skills and for anyone to do so would be ignorant.
Now his record/opposition that my friends is a horse of a different color theres a lot questions there.
