<< Kentucky Derby anyone putting money on it?

My uncle owned a few race horses when I was young. Nothing worthy of the Kentucky Derby but I got to stand in the winners circle a few times at Charlestown.

Doody Daddy was the horses name.

The Queen of England was at the Derby.

Anyways, my grandpa is a big horseracing guy and he always puts some down for me. I took Scat Daddy this year. He was the only horse among the favorites to have won on a wet track, he races good down the back stretch and imo, he would have given Street Sense a scare in the breeders cup had he not been cut off.

Anyways, LOTS of traffic in this year's race. Scat Daddy ran good but was snake bitten again, just had no lane to run and once Street Sense got past that traffic at the start of the backstretch Hard Spun was dead in the water. My grandpa bet on Hard Spun. Not sure where Scat Daddy finished, I think 6th or 7th.

No way? Wow. He ran middle of the pack for most of the race. Damn. Only watched the race once but damn, he really fell off then.

I also like to watch the Derby cause I would like to see if anyone will break the fastest time record. The fastes I've witnessed was Monarchos in 2001 which is 2nd all time.

I live in Maryland and have never once gone to the Preakness. I should hang my head in shame.

Still, I'm breathing so my plan has worked thus far. Stay home and live or venture into the public arena and die a random death.
