Daaammmnnnn....Diaconu, knew nothing about him and he came in and KTFO'd him. I thought, looking at his build, that his speed particulary with that straight right hand was exceptional. Can't wait to see more of him.

I just finished uploading the fight, here it is...... I hope you enjoy! the fight it was a really good fight and Diaconu showed he belongs.
This win puts him up to possibly face my bwoy! BCDawson in the future....

Still think my bwoy! BCD takes 'em..... So as long as he stays away from Diaconus left hook...

You know your bwoy! Mick pulls threw for you guys....

    ENJOY!!

I was thinking during the fight that I would pick Chad Dawson over him. Dawson could keep him at bay easily if he stays focused.

It wouldn't be heartwrenching to see BCD get KO'd by Diaconu, who is the real "White Tyson" and not Chagaev.

That fight should have been stopped at the end of the 2nd. Hoye did not even realize the round was over, look at him his corner had to go and retreive him and on the way to the corner he walked back to the center. Didn't pick up on that the first time I don't think I heard the bell either.

That right hand is VERY fast. Had never heard of this guy til today and he disposes of a guy I think I hold in pretty high regard. CC Mick.

Cool Click for the post, Mick my man.

When I watched the fight live I didn't notice Diaconu punch threw the ropes and hit Hoye in the face when he was hanging through them. LOL

WOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!.....Incredible display of an A** WHOOPING! Diacano showed alot energy going into this fight. Rico somewhat looked like he lacked confidence or a bit disdrought when given insrtuctions. Diaconu was very active and was getting inside really good as his perfomance showed. He packs a punch along with a knuckle sandwich cause Rico got tooken to school.......Love to see more of this ADRIAN!

That was a hell of an ass whipping wasn't it?
Hoye just never even got started, plus he kept pulling back with his hands down. It just wasn't his night at all, you could see it in his eyes from the first bell.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Good to hear you enjoyed that...
    CC#753....
I thought Hoye would put up a better fight either I was overating Hoye or underating Diaconu.

Mick, where were you when Dawson fought Harding. I remember that RBR thread, Dawson got trashed for what I thought was a very good performance. I want to see Lacy - Dawson. From what I heard the two clashed a lot in the gym and had some wars in sparring, and Birmingham's commitment to Lacy is what made Dawson ditch him for Floyd Sr (at least I think it was Floyd Sr.) a week out of the Adamek fight.

Any idea on who he is facing next?

Diaconu looked to have somewhat good not great defence. His blocking was decent and he looks to have good body control with his bobbin and weavin to get on the inside if not to control a fight. Who knows, only training and time can answer that! Thanx Mick!

I think this fight happened during the time I was on hiatus from Saddo...

But anyway... Heres my thoughts on that fight with Harding....

On a short note, I think it was a good fight Harding dropped him and BCD, IMO possibly came back and either equaled or won that round....
I remember people talking about Harding was gonna run circles around BCD, then the same thing was said when BCD was gonna fight Gardner.

If you click the links you'll also see my thoughts on Lacy-BCD...

    Possibly Diaconu....
Wouldn't mind seeing him face Drews, Erdei or the winner of JCGonzalez-Woods

Default Wednesday Night Fights, Adrian Diaconu

Did anyone see wednesday night fights last night? This light heavyweight Adrian Diaconu (24-0 15 ko's) shows flashes of a young Mike Tyson. It was a bloodfest from the opening bell. The guy never stopped attacking and was landing with deadly accuracy, and against a guy 6 inches taller than him. You don't see too many fights where someone gets hit that hard that often. From what I understand the man he fought (Rico Hoye 20-2) wasn't exactly a punk. Not the best fighter out there but respected. If Chad Dawson sets up a fight with this guy like everyone is saying he will, it has all the ingredients for a violent, bloody brawl.

Let us not forget the great Sebastian "The Goatee" Ay. I've only seen him in action twice but I love this kid. He has no facial hair though so I'm confused about his nickname.

Diaconu looks promising and it's gonna take a good man to stop him , Hoye's confidence looked shot to shit .

Anyone notice how quickyl AD reset himself when he missed ? Promising .

3 Cheers for CMM , another fight coutersy of the main man !

Yeah! that was impressive... 1 thing I didn't like was how he kinda went a little crazy and missed like 2 or 3 punches widely... Thats the 1 thing I didn't like it showed he lost composure for a few seconds....
