I want to see this VERY bad. I want to see it more then I do Pac - JMM, can you picture a crazier style matchup? Can you think of any other guy that Pac can fight and be the more disciplined guy? This is such an insane style matchup. Pac wins imo, but he gets rocked imo and Valero is more then capable of getting him out of there if he's hurt.

IMO Edwin should take on someone like Barrios or Baloyi. Not Pac just yet. --CutMeMick

Agreed. Manny is a whirlwind. In the Grand Finale he reminded me of the Tasmanian Devil. Now, I cannot think of Pacman with imaging all those weird noises Taz makes as he spins round and round.

How long are they going to hold this bout. It seems likely months ago. I remember Pac-MAB, I thought to myself not yet Manny MAB's too great. But it turned out to be his ticket to fame. The same can be said here PAC the best at his division right now and without a title(WOW!) much like MAB when they fought and invisible title on the Line "People's Champ" much more valuable I believe. But the outcome i believe would be different it would provide fireworks but in the end Pac would own Valero.

yea pac knock out ladwaba a masterful boxer, and jolio. pac knock out a few guys in the u.s before he got to mab. he had that fight with sanchez that ended up a draw though but it should of been a win for pac, pac got hit with every illegal blows in that fight but kept fighting.

theres a big differents between the pac then and valero now. pac already knock out quality guys even back then still more then valero now so you can't compare the two.

Let Valero face defeat so he will be able to realize how bad his opponents were.If he wins then it will be all glory for him.Let the fight begin.

Although i would love to see this fight, it would not really solidify Pacman's claim on P4P #1. Also, it is a non-title fight so I think he is a match-up loser here. Big monies should be a JMM fight. Time is on the side of Pacman being the younger of the two. If he wins he earns a title and big monies. Why waste the little time he has with Valero (although Valero is exciting, what can he bring to the table - no title, less money). Smart money is a Pacman-JMM fight. It could solidify a HOF status for both fighters as well.

Edwin Valero is the current WBA Super Featherweight champ.

But in my opinion Pac-JMM should be the best match. The draw should be settled once and for all.

The thing is, for Valero to fight the way he does, a style like his needs a base of good fundamentals, if any joe bloggs of the street just threw bombs like he does they'd get sparked but Valero is a really good counter puncher, some of the stuff he does in sparring is incredible, he's made Erik Morales look silly in sparring. You can't fight like he does without being sound as a proper boxer. Saying that, in his fights he's looked a bit vunerable and easy to hit recently, but maybe that's because he's been a lot better than his opponent and got a bit careless. The jury is still out on Valero but you can't just count him out when we haven't seen him in with a top fighter.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!

Thanks for the correction . What is the WBA by the way? hehe joke

Thanks to for agreeing with me that a Pac-JMM fight is the best fight for both.

He doesn't have any claim on P4P #1. He would need to face Floyd at 147 for that. It's not unreasonable--they weighed nearly the same amount in their last fights. But if that fight ever happened, you'd see just how far Pac is from the #1 spot.

He should fight Marquez next. That one would be competitive and it's hard to pick a winner. It's very easy to pick Pac in a fight against Valero.

True. There is a title for Pacman if he beats Valero. For the sake of title, let Pacman vs valero happen.

I'd like to see these two fight but not just yet. Maybe Mzonke Fana or Humberto Soto would be next opponent for Valero. Work his way through a couple of top contenders then make a move on Pacquiao!
