Just Watched "The Hurricane" again last night, I have a few questions???

so we got 2 sides of the story, which one do u believe, those links showed no physical evedence.
and carter aparantly took a lie detector test and failed but those machines are inacurate and to this day are not amisable in a court of law.
and they say carter was not the #1 contender but he did fight joey giardello for the middle wieght title and lost dicision over racist pig judging and in th 90's the WBA and WBC relised this and awarded him his rightfull championship belt.
i dont believe this bull shit for a minute

but why would he shoot up a bar and then deny it for like 20 years and go to great lenghs to make up a fairytale biography.........and he must have appealed the case at least 5 times! why would a guilty man go to such exuasting efforts? fair enough you believe he did it but why? cause you read a few storys on the net?

Yea thanks i think its about time people on this forum know the truth because i was fooled aswell until i read up on it and was shocked how bad they lied in the film it was a disgrace imo.

I think everyone is over-analyzing..... Its a movie, its not meant to be an exact history of ruben carter. Its meant to be entertaining. I thought it was an awesome film with terrific acting.

As to whether ruben carter actually killed them people, no one will ever really know but he is free now and having been in prison for 20 years I reckon he can have his freedom

The part of the movie where Carter loses to Giardello was false. Another attempt by Hollywood to make a race ussue out of something that wasn't an issue at all. Even Carter admitted that he lost that fight. Giardello sued the film's producer and settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. With regard to Carter being involved in that triple murder; I'm not sure what happened. Carter himself said he was no angel, but he didn't commit that particular crime. I believe him.

Why wouldnt any man go to any legnths to get out of prison? After all the majority of all men in prison are innocent
