Well I guess I have been listening to Wladimir Klitschko to much then because all he want's is to fight the best out there and prove it to himself he is the best, he has never mentioned the money factor, he want's to fight first for himself then the fans.
The fact that you belive him in such statements just makes you all the less credible.. Who has W. Klit fought recently... Was Ray Austin a big challenge to him?? Chris Byrd Fighters will take big challenges when they absolutely need to to revive their reputation/careers, or when that fighter also brings in the highest payday.. Otherwise, they are looking for the most money, period. Put yourself in the mindstate of a pro fighter for one second. You'd take a tougher challenge for less money?!?!? WHY? More money means more fans of the sport would pay, or tune in to watch you fight a certain guy. Whether that fighter happens to be the toughest challenge is not the biggest issue for a boxer. If you can't realize this maybe your not quite as sharp as I imagined.
    Good point.
Who is he fighting next?Brewster the guy who beat him!He is doing it to redeem himself and prove it to the fans! Not the money!
Brewster hasn't fought in a year and a half, when his last fight was a loss in which his retina was detached.... Excuse me if I don't find it some incredible act of courage for Wlad to fight him. Obviously in Wlads defence there is noone great to fight, but still Brewster is not the best guy out there. Sure he beat Wlad once, but Klit avenging that at this point in time just doesn't do much for me...

Money may not be a factor for Wlad...but he hasn't been fighting the best...he's actually taken some easy beats of late. Peter, Brock, & Byrd have been the best that he's fought & theyv'e all proven to be less than stellar. Brock was unproven and Byrd's last 4 fights had been controversial wins...I will give him Sam Peter though.

Definently a worthy opponent on the way up.

Also...Oscar vs Floyd was no snoozefest. Trust me on that one. I was there & it was a fantastic fight.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!

What is annoying to me is that they mention the money. I think it is really cheesy. Part of the reason PBF pisses me off is he says stupid crap about money everytime he talks. If a fighter has class they won't constantly mention the money. We all know they are making big money, but it's freaking tacky to constantly talk about it.

Given that most of these guys make more in one fight than most of their fans will make in their lifetimes, they could act humble and not talk about it so much. It's an obvious motivation, and I don't blame them but get some freakin manners and class.

And for the record. Taylor made it look like he doesn't want to fight Pavlik.

If i had billions of dollars, i would make sure every fighter i liked, could make a great living fighting, even if they never became really famous. i would triple the amount the promoter gives them.
