Calzaghe's big three should be 1) Kessler 2) Hopkins or Winky 3) I wouldnt mind a fight at lightheavy against the winner or Woods: Johnson 4 which may very well happen down the line

Fecking hell u lot spend all day saying he has no balls, he's a pussy etc.....

He's defended his belt 20 times while you have been sat on your arses in your own little comfort zones.
Read what I said Ono. I said people will call him a true pussy if he doesn't take the big fight. Read before criticising.

its got to be said that if Calzaghe fights Kessler, Winky/Hopkins, Taylor and Woods/Johnson there is a great possibility that he'll beat all of them imo. If he does this nobody could argue with him going down with the legacy he should of cemented. He is truly on of the most tallented boxers of his generation..

He's gota make these fights happen!!!!!!!!

    Just fight Kessler
    Put up,or shut up
Beat him,Ill sing his praises too
But until he does, hes a paper tiger
How hard is this to do,Kesslers people want the fight, all it would take is Warren to stop making absolutely assinine "offers" to get it done

yeah its easy to defend your self in your own back yard. When is he ever going to vegas of atlantic city. I remember going over to kids houses growing up to put knots on their head.I think the top 3 middle weightsa can beat him. Wright , Taylor and Pavlik.

Sh******************t man...you count Pavlik in the top 3 middleweights? Personally, I think that Pavlik showed oodles of courage and balls-out fighting style in beating Miranda, and I have to say that I would still rate Arthur Abraham, and maybe Roman Karmazin above him among the middleweights. Amin Asikainen would also have a good shot at beating him IMO.

Anyhow....I say wait and see what Frank Warren turns up and throws on the table for Calzaghe next. If it's Kessler, Taylor (maybe the winner of Wright/Hopkins) then I think we can be pretty happy....anyone else and I'll be disappointed.

One thing that does annoy me a little, however, is people are always jumping on Joe Calzaghe's back for not being able to fight the huge names in the divisions around him, yet we never see 5 or 6 threads on the go when Wlad Klitschko fights Ray Austin or when Winky Wright fought Ike Quartey in other blatant mismatches....

I hate it when people say things like this. JC is claiming to be a great fighter. Therefore, the proper comparison is not between JC and posters on this website who have jobs other than professional boxer; the proper comparison is with other great fighters. Compared with those fighters, JC has "defended his belt 20 times" against very little talent during a span in which truly great fighters defended their titles against challenging opposition. People shouldn't be precluded from bringing this up just because they haven't themselves defended a belt 20 times.

Arthur Abraham does now logically rank below Pavlik I think... Since his fight with Miranda was very close and he suffered serious damage and hasn't fought since when PAvlik just destroyed him.. Karmazin has never fought at middleweight....Also Wright vs Quartey really wasn't a mismatch at all, and realistically Quartey is a better p4p fighter than anyone Calzaghe has ever faced.. But to each his own.

Sorry bro, but fighting someone who has stepped up two weights....and then not finishing him off because they were friends....Wright v Quartey was a non event. And he would be a better p4p fighter because it makes it very difficult to get into the p4p rankings when you get up to the heavier weights. And I reckon i will always be harder to beat a fighter for the first time than it is to be the second man to beat him. But as you mentioned....each to his own.

personally i think calzaghe is satisfied with his win over jeff lacy..and the fights against these "big names" are just talk, because winky, bhop, aren't going overseas and jc isn't fighting in the states...so he'll fight kessler eventually and after he embarasses the overrated kessler like he did lacy..he'll just keep going and going until he's too old having never really beaten anyone worth talking about....except the old eubank...and he really doesn't matter unless you're a brit...

Hmmm....he's been no 1 in the division since Sven Ottke retired way back when....so being in the p4p rankings means nothing....personally I don't think too much of Winky Wright's recent performances....but I wouldn't say that he doesn't matter....

if calzaghe were to beat winky that would be his biggest win by far...winky went up and was given a draw with taylor, even though IMO he beat him....wink beat the great tito, he beat shane twice, those three victories alone are bigger than anything JC has ever done...esp if you compare both their recent fights..wink has been far more impressive than calzaghe....

    i mean c'mon MAnfredo jr.
