He was killing himself making the 140 limit for that fight and it is evident here. Maybe they will fight at a catch weight? I honestly hope the fight is not cancelled!
Anyone know what happens in this situation? And what would you do if you were Hatton? Fight at a catch weight? FOrget the fight?
That could be true but I see Ricky thinking like this:Originally Posted by TYSONBRUNO

Here we go again. I love to watch JLC fight, but this is getting ridiculous. I'll reserve judgement until we know more. Hopefully, they can still salvage the situation. If this fight doesn't happen, I'll be highly dissappointed.
Agreed. This is not yet conclusive...Originally Posted by Unknowndonor

Man, this is disappointing. If he's having problems making weight again it is just blatent disrespect and a shocking lack of professionalism from JLC. I think Hatton will still go forward with the fight if JLC can get close to 140, but I don't think he should, it's not fair to the fighter who drains him self physically and mentally to get to the weight (we all know Hatton has had issues regarding weight, though I don't think he's ever not made weight).
I may be in the minority here, but I think that would be a pretty good fight, and Forbes deserves a shot at someone after that bullshit decision he got against D-Hop.Originally Posted by TYSONBRUNO
What is worrying say they fought at catchweight so fight was not scrapped look what happened in second Corrales fight when Castillo was stronger. This is'nt fair Hatton is draining himself to make weight and Castillo would be more natural and he would be really strong like in the second Corrales fight.
just read on Ricks site he came in at 147 well up for it.
That is great! Lets hope this is the real-deal, and the fight is still on.Originally Posted by chip
Only 7lbs to lose then and 20 odd days to do it good for Hatton![]()
What's the WBC got to do with this anyway?
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
I thought it was an IBO title fight are WBC anything to do with them?
yes he did
He weighed in at 147
www.fightnews.com
Castillo 147 at 30-day weigh-in!
Two-time world champion Jose Luis Castillo of Mexico weighed 147 pounds Friday for his WBC 30-day safety check weigh-in in Tijuana. He was far under the maximum limit, 154 pounds, for this date. Castillo is the WBC's International Champion. He will take on Ricky Hatton who will defend his IBO world light welterweight title on Saturday, June 23, at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Hatton vs. Castillo is promoted by Banner Promotions, Fight Academy and Top Rank. Hatton vs. Castillo will be broadcast on
So Castillo did turn up and they both weighed 147 is that right
