Thats like saying is Rugby going to take over football or soccer. Two totally different things.Hell there will always be 20-30 year old white males in the world who have beer muscles who are going to love this sport. I do believe the average boxing fan is well more knowledgeable than the average UFC fan about there sport.

Exactly southakron, boxing and UFC are only similar in the fact that 1 person tries to beat up their opponent, now how they go about it is totally different.

I like boxing, I'm a BOXING fan, I am not at all impressed with UFC but if anyone is, good for you enjoy it. Hell everyone can't be the same and like the same stuff.

I think in all fairness it just boils down to one thing; knockouts. People want to see knockouts. I like both boxing and UFC, but I shy away from watching MMA guys who tend to grapple just as I shy away from watching Winky Wright, Jermaine Taylor, and other's who tend to rarely score knockouts. To me, a Rampage or Liddell fight will keep me just as much on the edge of my seat as a Tommy Hearns or Gerald McClellan fight. I just love knockouts, as I think the majority of fight fans do. I don't care which arena it comes from, just show me knockouts, or more importantly, guys who PUSH for the knockout.

Wow what knock out was that at 2:21 on the boxing. I also love that looping over head right by Morrision. Just think how nasty those hits would be with 3 ounce MMA gloves. Possibly career ended and permanite brain damage.

Boxer's are the best fighters period! Look at that crap fight last night where Chuck and Rampage was throwing wild shots and then not covering up. Morrison would have murdered Chuck or Rampage!MMA is Overrated, Long live boxing!

Im from Australia and UFC means nothing here, yet a big boxing match is still major news. Boxing is underthreat in the US but almost everywhere else it is massively more popular than UFC which is seen as a side act like wwe. Thats why boxing will survive.

C'mon Duke, its easy to say that now isn't it? You weren't sayin that b4 though. IF an MMA fighter gets a boxer to the ground, its over. We all know that. It would be nuts for either Rampage or Liddell to stand up with Morrison or any good pro boxer.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

not only did the MMA bring in more money from PPV's last year in the U.S but also in Asia and Europe. not to bad for a "side act"...lol.

Morrison would get taken down and choked out in less than 60 seconds.
