I don't understand the argument that Hatton will be too strong for JLC, what is that based off of?

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Hatton needs to fight smart if he fades late on in the fight like he has been doing of late JLC will get im out of there. Hatton needs to work the body when he is on the inside then control the fight with his jab from the out side.
killersheep it based on the fact that castillo has fought at lightweight most of his life and this will only be his second fight at 140 against the king at 140. plus hattons sparring partner for this fight, that mexican dude i cant remember his name. said hes also sparred castillo and he said hatton will be to strong for castillo when they meet. SO THATS WHAT IM BASING THIS ON. COME ON MAN GET UR BRAIN IN GEAR
Pleased to make your acquaintance
He is bound to say that tho cause Hatton is paying his wages it always happen when sparring partners have been in with the same fighter, they say who ever is paying their wages is gonna win.Originally Posted by paddy448
i understand that mate but asides from that. its true tho castillo is in only his second fight at lww hes been at lw most his life im sorry lads if u disagree but it makes sense to me. plus i seen these guys fight loads of times and its just how i see it goin no matter how great a fighter castillo is.

Castillo was obviously weight drained at lightweight. You can say Killer you were right, when Hatton is trying to lift himself off of the mat. Besides that Hatton hasn't exactly shown power lately. Urango's power shots were showing HUGE effect on Hatton, I'm not saying JLC hits as hard as Urango, but he will hit Ricky more often, especially in the championship rounds.Originally Posted by paddy448

I think Chavez was too good a fighter and would have stopped Hatton in round 10 or so. Chavez was relentless and had a good chin and was quick..Originally Posted by Dark Lord Al
His fights against, Kostya Tszyu, Ben Tackie, Michael Stewart and Vince Phillips, to name a few, all 4 are strong, big 140lbers who are physical orthodox fighters, plus for good periods of the Collazo fight he was pushing him on the ropes too. They all got well out muscled by Hatton. I know it's only one factor but I think it's fair to say Hatton has a strength advantage over Castillo.Originally Posted by killersheep

K well, JLC: KOed Chico (if Diego hadn't spit out his mouthpiece, it would have been twice), wore out Joel Casamayor, beat down Julio Diaz, And is the ONLY who can have an argument that he beat PBF as a pro, in a large part because of his strength.Originally Posted by yoitsdan
Don't get me wrong this is not a walk in the park for either guy. I'm backing Castillo and don't see Hatton's power being a factor, if I'm wrong I'll gladly admit it.

Its a close call this one and will be Ricky's toughest fight yet. I think JLC still has more in him that Tszyu did in 2005 & its in USA and not his hometown.
I think Hatton will use both close up tactics then bobbing and weaving when it suits him.
Hattons youth will be the factor for me and will win a close decision.
sounds about right.. ccOriginally Posted by ds91

Castillo comes on strong through rounds 8-12 & he wont need any distance just good stance to let off those crisp left hooks, Hatton definately needs to bully in & rush him if he wants to throw Castillo off his style. We'll have to wait and see. It'll be exciting. I say Castillo by late KO.
As you say there's two sides to every coin and there's no question that Castillo is a top level fighter, which makes this all the more special because we're going to find out who's the best, most likely in spectacular fashionOriginally Posted by killersheep
