Calzaghe is a hard fighter to work out because he has only had 1 really big fight against Lacy perhaps he could of helped himself by fighting Reid in a rematch soon after there 1st meeting

Thank you ice i am not as knowledgable about the lighter weight, i am more of a heavyweight kinda of guy when it comes to my knowledge of the sport.

I disagree. Watson trained specifcally to negate Eubanks style and it was extremely effective.

Maybe you mean to have said " the Watson that trained specifically for the style of Calzaghe could have stretched him to the later rounds and perhaps a loss on points?"

I think in the Lacy fight Calzaghe was pushing a 1000 too. Lacy was a quality opponent. Watson did get caught so that means his defence was faulty and his chin too. Watson was a good fighter but not as good as you like to maintain.
