Unless Im mistaken he is also just about to fight the second best guy in his division.
Tszyu was a big big step and fair play to him, but he shot down mayweather fight "im not ready" never did he call out guys like cotto, surehe beat urango, but fuckme who in 5 years time will even remember his name? to say urango was second best is imo a personal opinion... wittier was and is the wbc champ... and is the man to beat at 140.. whislt i hate the guy - why isn't hatton fightng him? urango is a club fighter at best and time will tell on that for those who don't think so

I think he is, he won't want to fight him at all after what Cotto did to Judah. Hatton will beat Castillo but must step up and take on Cotto or Margo or Williams or Mosley. THIS YEAR!!!

Hatton is not a guy who ducks anyone. I still do not see Hatton handling 147 well.

In fairness to ricky i don't believe he can ever be accused of ducking...Furthermore i read her somewhere the reason hatton split with warren was because warren was getting him fights he wasnt ready for. Untrue, hatton left warren because he was receiving fights he felt were beneath him.
People too forget that Hatton was the first to approach Carlos Baldomir seeking to arrange a fight. Hatton DOES want the big fights.
The one fear i have is that he will leave it too late and meet this fighters when he is in decline.

After Hatton seeing this Cotto who has no doupt gone up a level or two just for this fight. I dont no if Hatton wants any of that Rican! Cotto shoots his shots like hes trying to break bone. Cotto is looking pretty dangerous around now! (Whos Next?)

Now as ironic as this my sound, i have good enough reason to believe one of the mian reasons team hatton left warren because warren wanted to match him agasint guys hatton 'wasn't ready to fight' warren would of/would of made a mayweather fight happen but it was team hatton that bottled it... almost every fight hatton has had has been carefully handpicked and all futre fights will be also...

I'm sure every hatton fan boy wil be scrambling to the sad click for me... but you watch, hatton wont do F*** all with his career. he wont fight a p4p fighter, will never get in the ring with mayweather, cotto etc...

You are talking utter bollocks, he left Warren cos he wasnt ready for certain fights? he just fought the the best 140 fighter of the last ten years for Warrens last fight, he left cos Warren was taking him for a ride, he new Ricky was big draw and was not paying him accordingly, for instance the Maussa fight Warren inital offer was half of what Rickys current team offered him, Warren only matched it once he new the offer Ricky recieved from Fight academy, after the Castillo fight ( which is a tough test) i will guarantee Ricky will be looking for your Cotto's and Maywaethers.

Hatton isn't ducking him..there diferent weights..hatton is not a welterweight, Cotto is....Hatton struggled with Collazo, he knows that he would get beaten by Cotto at welter

Here's a scoop for you: there were numerous discussions with the Hatton people, but Ricky went up to 147 and then came back down. Miguel is staying at welterweight. But Hatton knows where to find Cotto when he wants to get it on. Floyd is the most skilled boxer in the world, an immensely talented athlete, but he won't beat Miguel Cotto.""

    Hmm.......... is he?

I think if Hatton had any inclination of giving 147 another try, that thought dissipated very rapidly last night.

I like Hatton great chin good stamina he is action pack like Cotto.

For a guy whobetween fights goes up like 180 pounds and then come back to 140 there is no problem for him making 147. He looked in good shape with stamina, power and speed at 147 just the fact that Collazo is a good skilled boxer plus he is southpaw taller and bigger than him don't mean that Hatton is not the same at 147 than 140 is is just he fought a pretty good boxer and in my eyes Collazo edge maybe by a point it was that close. Style make fights and Collazo has one of those styles that can cause anyone problems.

Cotto and Hatton can make a pretty good fight at 147 they are both strong at 147. I edge Cotto in that fight because if his intelligence( Boxing, Ring generalship, Power and can adjust)

But Hatton should fight Witter that is a sellout from where they come from
