That night will be for Pavlik and Peter. Pavlik fight should get more viewers. I wondere if it will be on hbo or hbo ppv. I don't know. I see Pavlik putting Taylors lights out by the 10th.

Pavlic vs Taylor will be on regular HBO.

My main concern is that while watching Taylor Pavlic, that the HBO crew does not make a news annoucment like "we are just getting word that Sam Peter is the new WBC champ"

Because Jim Lamply did that in the middle of an HBO telecast when Shannon Briggs beat Liakovic.

I think it was Merchant who said it actually. You never know he may have had a stroke by then and not be able to broadcast anyways. Kellerman wouldn't say it as he's a true fightfan, Merchant is just an old, cranky, belligerant sob who likes to shit on people's parades. It probably gave him pleasure to ruin the result for everyone, a bit like TysonBruno

In that article about Merchant he did not give Kellerman much credit. He pretty much built himself up as the last of the newspaper guys to be a commentator. He does not seem that impressed with Kellerman just on how he spoke.

I like Max but truth is I like The old timer style of Merchant....He is truly one of the last of the old era as far as it goes to calling and broadcasting....He came up in the days of Burt Sugar.....Like them or not those guys have forgotten more about this sport then any of the guys today ever knew.....I like Max but he has a long way to go before he is on the level of Larry.
