I dont have a job right now, I suppose Im a homemaker I was waiting until my little one goes to proper school in September to start looking but BT have advertised locally for engineers so I've sent in an application. Ive been at college for the last year and a bit doing computer networking, the BT job isnt exactly what I had in mind but its decent money, good prospects so fingers crossed.

If anyone ever tells you that bringing up children on your own is tough dont believe them, its a piece of piss

This is a good thread, I hate my goddamn job too. I'm going to university right now, so accordingly my job sucks. I work for a small buisness delivering drugs for various pharmacies throughout town. I get to spend all day in the shitty parts of town delivering meds to crack-heads, poor old people, and pharmacies... God how I hate it... the worst part is the hours, we start at 1:30pm and finish whenever the work is done (usually anywhere from 8:30-10pm). I can't wait til I get the chance to quit. The only good part is that my boss is a pretty nice guy, and so are most of the guys I work with... but I HATE driving, and I have to drive all day... I'm getting all depressed just thinking about it.

I'm retired now so I don't have any job and am loving it. I spent just shy of 34 yrs in law enforcement, 20 yrs as a street cop. Funny thing, I tried so hard to get into the field when I was young. The last 5 or so yrs were so bad I couldn't wait to get out. I drove around with the retirement application in my car, unsigned for about a year before I took the plunge. If anyone wants advice on jos stress and burnout, I guess I'm the guy to ask. After being retired for over three years I am finally getting re-acclimated into society. For many years I just hated everyone. Not a good way to live. Like I tell my kids, money isn't everything, it's more important to be happy in what you do and have varied interests outside of your work.

i am a top seller and bank a shit load of comiss - but man te job blows - doesn't help i went to uni doing compuers and blitzd it lol

but man picture this - u get this twat on the phone right, hes spending like £60-£90 a month on his pay as you go phone, u can get him a contract that gets him a top of the range pone free, 5 times the minutes and txts and the cunt is liek yeah mate its awsome but im not interested! fucking cunt wanna be like go all nuts on him and shit but you cant coz some fat fuck is listening in and you get shit for it.

I swear us brits are lazy sons of slags

I'll tell you about what i do..

So say my company is the middle man..

A company..For existance.. NXO.. A strategic marketing company..Wants more customers..

So our company gets payed money, We go buy aload of names of companies and theyr addresses

I ring up first to screen the companies...

You ring up and find out who a certain person is.. In this instance..

The person in charge of marketing.., Theyr email adress and specific job title.. If you do it right and whatnot you can usually get this information without too many questions from a receptionist or operator..

You then send out a standard spam like email to them introducing this companys services..

Then you might ring them back a week later..now knowing the name of the person in charge of marketing and ask to speak with them, you say.. i sent you an email last week do you remember seeing that atall?

And my main objective at the end of all that is to have them to agree to an appointment not with me or my company but the actual company that we are working on behalf of..

Something like..Ok so we can have fraser richie come and see you and tell you a little bit more about our service..bla bla..

thats my job over..
