The advantage is there for the Mixed Martial artist ,it has to do with the rules or lack there of.. Boxing has rules. Those rules become a part of the boxers psyche , when a boxer goes into a MMA event , there are some hesitations on what is allowed and not allowed.. Hesitation is a killer in any form of combat fighting, often the result is a bad for the boxer .

personally i hope kimbo turns out to be good along with lesnar cuz if those two become major players thats ALOT of people that will get turned on to a combat sport, im sure some of it will spill over intyo boxing

Yeah, I just only hope I don't see the words steroids anywhere on sherdog or anyplace about this fight, because it would just put more black eyes on mma right now when ROyce gracie tests positive its a bad way, but now if this goes the same its worse

Kimbo is just really a normal fighter but MMA is superiour to boxing in the terms of fighting styles....Ray had nothing to defend against when he was on the ground, atleast learn how to defend against a grappler if you're going into the ring with one because using fists isn't enough.

Ray Mercer has know suffered 3 defeats in MMA in a row. I think he's just using it to top up his pension fund. Sadly some people will foolishly think that Kimbo has beaten a legitimate opponent, when that is so clearly not the case.
