IMO, Floyd needs to fight both of these guys, because they're knocking out guys he couldn't. I'm wondering if Floyd could really take the punishment both of them can dish out.

Bottom line, Ricky deserves his plaudits, and if you weren't impressed by what happened on Saturday night then you should certainly be questioning your knowledge of boxing.
I hope your kidding me. If you think CAStillo was anything compared to the guy who fought Mayweather 4-5 years ago your fooling yourself. The reason why people aren't "hating" on Cotto is because he didn't have those two horrid performances against Urango and Collazo. I think Hatton could beat anyone at 147 besides PBF, or he has the potential to, but I doubt he will be able to. He has the speed, but he doesn't fight the right way.
I'm a big Cotto fan, but he was nothing against Urkal, rocked big time by Torres and had problems with Corley. Judah is hardly at his best right now...these are pretty much the same reasons people hate on Hatton.

Don't get me wrong, I love Cotto. My opinion is that every fighter is entitled to have a bad day at the office.
That judah was not at his best ,lmao ,man what fight did you watch iam starting to think most of the guys get drunk before watching a fight ,even the announcers where like win or lose judah was at his best ,now if you ask me if judah will be the same heck NO ,but he was at his best and cotto is getting better and stronger ,remeber at the 140 weight it was hard for him and he was too dehydrated at the 147 non of this is a problem which is why he has absorb the power from his last 2 opponents ,and one thing cotto has is smarts ,he thinks before he leaps hatton holds before he throws ,i go for the thinker anyone can punch all night without knowing what to do.

It dont matter who Ricky fights AND BEATS ppl are gonna have something bad too say

he didnt look good or his opponant was shot
    or he held too much
Nothing he does will be good enough for some ppl
they were amount of ppl on here saying Castillo would beat Hatton
but now its a different story
Hatton won the first two rounds easily (and both men held if you can call it holding arms over necks)
i gave the 3rd to Castillo by a touch
I only wish now the fight had gone on a bit longer so Ricky could showcase his skills a bit more

I may be misunderstood but didnt Hatton beat Collazo and Urango
you may not have liked how he did it but he still did it
Hatton had 5 weeks to prepare to go up a weight and fight

    Just one more comment
Pbf is hard to trap down because of all the dancing round the ring he does

couldnt of said it better myself kat. about 50 % of people where sayin castillo would beat hatton now it is a different story coz hatton stopped him. shot fighter or not that body shot would have stopped anyone. i think hatton on his day fully prepared and proper training camp would beat anyone even at 147. i think cotto would be a harder fight than mayweather would be
    Pleased to make your acquaintance

i know i even read someone sayin Castillo didnt even try to get up from that body shot
ERRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMM no he couldn't get up
i've watch Hatton for years and he is known for his body punches!
they have awsome power i even wrote hre on Fri i hoped he fought the old Hatton style(gr8 body punches) and he did
Body punches like that stop u movin
I'm sure Castillo thought it'd look good to spin round and drop down on one knee like he was proposing
no he did that cus it fucking hurt!!
He could hardly look at the ref wen he was counting and he was chewing his gumshield like a steak

I think people just need to see more of hatton before they actually start to belive in him....he's a great fighter in my opinion has a style that isn't all that crowd pleasing with all the clinching and stuff and wheather castillio had part in it saturday or not doesn't matter cause it's common in hatton fights. But outside of castillio and Kostya Tszyu his record isn't filled with the greatest of competiton. Then when getting the opportunity against better comp he looked unimpressive against a sick urango and ill prepared collazo..then comes castillio who he looks great against and it's getting taken away by how old and slow castillio looked so unjustly or not the verdict is still out on this guy......and he like so many others these days is on the list of people who want but can't beat mayweather. I happen to like him though !!!

Look, I admit I was wrong, Castillo was not shot, and Hatton outclassed him.

Ricky Hatton is number 1 at 140 no doubt. I still don't like his style.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Hate and Love doesn't come to matter if you are not Puerto Rican or British. Ricky did well and I dare to say he's the better pressure fighter P 4 P that we've seen for more than a decade, Cotto is the strongest, most massive body snatcher for the last 20 years at least... But and there's always a but, Ricky is just 5' 6'' and is too upright, too tight and his approach is too one dimensional to box with a cat like Floyd and Cotto is too damn slow getting off so that he can do better than Baldomir against Mayweather. I think Mayweather would do the same to Ricky that he did against Gatti, and I purely hate Mayweather's style...

I think you have it mixed up It was Hatton who was ill in the Urango fight
he was just beating off a flu virus!
And it was hatton not Collazo that was ill prepared Hatton had onli 5 weeks preperation b4 stepping up a weight without any fight at that weight in between
and where those fights may not have been impressive he still won both fights
As for who can and cant beat Mayweather well Mayweather has to take these fights for us to see
    So only time will tell

Actually on the polls on Saddo I think it was about 15% who thought Castillo would win

why dont they believe in him? because castillo was a shot fighter, it showed straight away from the 1st round, and it was even apparent in his last fight. also hatton always cheats to accomplish his goals. how can you credit him for that.

Like Manny Steward said "Hatton didn't fight Castillo who beat Corrales". And I agree.
