My problem is that he doesn't fight to win. He fights not to lose - and that is a big difference. I agree he's probably the most skilled and talented boxer of his generation, but I still find it hard to watch his matches. Don't get me wrong - I love displays of skill. Especially when one guy uses his skill to knock the other guy into next week.

bcollins...you know I respect your opinions...& everyone's entitled to one...but Floyd fights to win.

Trust me...if you were on speaking terms with Mitchell, Chavez, Gatti, Sosa, Hernandez, Augustus, Jukko, Corrales, Manfredy, Brusselles, & Castillo to name a few...they'd correct that difference for you.

No one out there displays skills more aptly than Floyd, but I can see where you & many others don't like his style...but often I have to wonder if it's just the fact that he makes winning look so easy...& that's where the distaste comes from.

Floyd has stopped, KO'd, TKO'd, whatever many men in his career...it's just hard for me to understand the reasons that people come up with standing against Floyd other than the fact that he's a prick.

But again... everyone's entitled to an opinion.

You have a good point - he makes winning look easy. It's the way he wins that I dislike. I agree, it's a matter of stylistic preference...and I like the guys who are in there just waiting to put their opponent on his a**. Like you said, PBF has done it before - I'd just like to see it again.

I wish he had stayed at lightweight, or even 140. He had more power then - and used it! He has the skills to win at 154, but it's not fun to watch, for me, at least. It's like Fight Night, with a lightweight against a HW. More an exercise in patience than real excitement

Oh yeah - CC for always stating your opinions in a very conversational way. It's great to have actual differences of opinion without devolving into second grade!

You know...I'm kinda see-sawish with him jumping weights.

I hate that...weight jumping I mean...but damned if he aint making it happen.

I do see where your'e coming from...I do...but it's hard for me to find faults in a man that keeps on winning...especially him being one of my top 5's.

As far as stating my opinions non-argumentatively...it's called respect, babe.

I got it for the majority of me peers here...you'd be on that list, count on it.
