Mayweather seems to have more supporters than he did against Oscar!

i'm sorry but i see Mayweather/Hatton playing out pretty much the same as Calzaghe/Lacy, Lewis/Tyson, Hopkins/Trinidad, Wright/Trinidad, Jones/Ruiz, De La Hoya/Mayorga, Chavez/Whitaker (yea sweet pea did win it), and well they all are basically the same fight, the brawler trotting foward and getting pounded with the jab being turned then hit with violent combos, and well being completely dominated and embarrassed, Mayweather would probably wear Hatton down and either stop him by an accumalation of punches or by bad swelling or cuts

Floyd Mayweather will stop Ricky Hatton when they fight later this year, according to Kostya Tszyu’s legendary trainer Johnny Lewis.
Well, you certainly stirred the pot here Big Jack! Johnny Lewis is a respected boxing trainer world wide no doubt. You don't need to be a Rhodes Scholar to think Mayweather will stop the Fatman.
I doubt that he could stop Hatton, win a decision...yes. As for the KT fight, he shouldn't have taken the fight if all those things were against him, he was the champion so he should have dictated the terms.
I think KT took Hatton lightly and realised to late that the Fatboy can really fight.
Hatton is the real deal and he is in with a real chance of winning against Mayweather if the fight takes place.

Johnny Lewis is the same guy who said Kosta was in the best shape of his life and would knock Hatton out within 6? So after his view on the fight i actully feel more confident of a Hatton win

Piss off, who stops their fighter before the 12th round if they don't know their fighter is behind on the scorecards, Hatton's low blow was revenge for repeated low blows by Tszyu, Kostya showed the dirty and desperate streak, not Hatton, Tszyu knew he had to go to his last resort if he was gonna have even a slight chance. Watch the fights with the sound off if you can't be objective.

What a load of crap! Hatton definately went low and dirty all night, took the stuffing right out of Tszyu. I'm not begrudging Hatton the win but posts like these that are so wrong piss me off!
Hatton won the fight be happy with that, if that fight was in the US or OZ a neutral ref would have D'QD it long before the end of 11 rounds! Those comments totally disrespect Tszyu, he lost, he knew it and i've become a Fatman fan!

There's no way Hatton got preferential treatment just because it was in the UK, Kostya would have had points docked if it was in the US or Aus, I'd rather a fair result than a favourite of mine every day of the week because it's better for the sport, I'll never cheer a hometown decision but Kostya broke the rules first, Hatton hadn't been warned once for low blows and he only hit one, after Kostya had landed 3 low blows with warning over the fight distance, I've watched the fight a million times and then some and I'd rather be objective because I'm that type of fight fan.

The low blow Hatton threw in the 9th round was deliberate and effectively ended the fight there and then. It's ancient history now, Hatton has the chance of a lifetime coming up if he fights Mayweather and I give him a great chance of success, whaddyathink?

I think the most interesting thing about that article is Dennis Hobson said, "Talks with Malignaggi's camp have been encouraging but that is definitely a Madison Square Garden fight. Ideally we would like to get the next one secured in this country for Ricky."

If that's the case, I don't see PBF-Hatton happening soon. I doubt if Floyd would travel across the pond for this one.

I have to agree with the wiz here. If Ricky is fighting in UK next then I do not see the opponent being Floyd unless he is given the same money he got for the DLH. Therefore I see either Hatton coming to the US again to fight Floyd then going back to UK against TBC.

Has Floyd ever fought in another country?

Not to my knowledge, and I've not once heard a scrap of criticism.

I don't believe that Hatton fighting Mayweather in Vegas would be a locational disadvantage. His fanbase is so immense and so loyal that it will be like Castillo-Hatton all over again. 10-15000 Manchunians going mental, no matter where in the world it takes place.

By the way, Tszyu went low twice before Hatton retaliated.

Hatton is a rough fighter, no doubt about it, but boxing is all about styles and the ability to jab from the outside, although high on technical merit, is not just what boxing is all about.

You can criticise the brawler all you want, but the aim of the game is to outpoint or knockout your opponent in a fashion that is within the rules of the sport.
At the elite level, Hatton stretches them to the limit, just like every other elite athlete in every other sport.

Mayweather chooses rings at a size to maximise his ability to move.
Hatton pushes his way to the inside in a manner which is only just satisfactory to the ref.

Which is the most underhand tactic when the ref/sanctioning body allows them both?
    The answer is neither.

Hatton is a rough fighter. He is like the Old Testament in a boxing ring. An eye for an eye,or in the Tszyu case, a nut for a nut

I agree Hatton would have the crowd advantage, but thats where it stops imo, HBO will be with Matyweather he will have the ref all the advantages he might need to beat Hatton, but hey you never know, also Wembley is good but it would have to be 4am is that viable with most fans comign from Manchester? Not sure Vegas makes the most sense to me.
