A Lacy Comeback.. I think the ship has sailed on that one. Hes young, but it seems as though he hasnt learned much from the whoopin he took. He still leads with his face and gets caught in between those wide hooks with counters. In his next 3 fights, i think he gets rocked at least once... probably twice. Its nice that hes got heart, but sometimes all heart and no brains means you're getting your head beat in when you dont have to...

He'd need to be torn down and rebuilt. Taught how to throw some straight punches and move his head in addition to learning to set up his hooks so its not so obvious. It seems like everyones in such a rush to get him back to where he was before people forget who he is, that they wont take the time to do it right and make him better and rid him of some bad habits.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

see where your coming from, but the truth is the only one who should be responsible for joes legecy now is joe...

With kessler out there, ther eis no reaons why Joe can't improve on what hes tine 10fold by taking him out and looking to end ona high with taylor, wright/hopkins, dawson.. there are enough names out there for calzaghe to silence even the biggest doubter out there...

Lets put my theroy to test..

VD, (hyperthetical ofc befor eu say it wont happen etc..)

But if, joe was to take out kessler, taylor hopkins or wright and maybe a chad dawson with a fight in the states, what would your opinion be then?

Joe would be the fucking man.

Now answer me this. If Kessler knocks out Joe in the 1st round, what would your opinion of Joe be? Will you finally admit he was overrated?

Possibly but it wont matter if Joe doesnt go on and fight 2/3 world class fighters. But i doubt Lacy does, i feel he is ruined and his in activity could also hinder a good comeback.

Look, the reality is likely to be somewhere in between the two situations you and Preme are putting forward, though I can't for a minute see that Kessler will be able to land enough telling shots on Calzaghe early on to get a 1st round KO.
I see Calzaghe beating Kessler, and maybe one more in the states, and squeeze another fight against someone just outside the top drawer, and that will pretty much be that for Joe Calzaghe.

Let's say he wins last three fights against Kessler, Jean Pascal and Taylor, would that satisfy you, or leave you thinking there was always a little bit more in him?

i wasn't saying he should fight taylor hopkins and wright, i meant Taylor or the winner of hopkins v wright and finish it off with chad dawson at LHW... three fights, 3 big names, clean out his devisiona nd beat the future of LHW... very realisticaly done too...

Lacy is not young. He is 30 and had more than 245 fights. He is limited and will not improve. He has been rocked several times against average opposition like Thompson, Sheika, and feather fisted Tsypko. Against Calzaghe he was hurt several times too. Lacy will get knocked out if he faces a moving puncher like Froch, Kessler or even Berriro.
