Kesslers Mum is apparently from Salisbury so he is planning on getting the English on his side.

He will probably end up fighting Mundine again before calzaghe.

    Thats that sorted then

    it's an all English battle

seeing as Calzaghe was born in London.

he lacks the special something to beat Joe.

Kessler can do a lot more what he has done in these fight,so why do more than necessary to win these fights?,if Calzaghe think like you,he are in for a big surprise
Super Middleweight also acknowledge as Kessler's Kingdom when Calzaghe has retire

Kessler really knows how to pick a shot doesn't he, right on the tip of the chin. Appears to be goodnight everytime with that punch so Calzaghe will have to watch that. He's also massive for a super middleweight so Calzaghe wont be able to bully him the way he does most of his opponents. If Calzaghe stays on his toes and doesn't get clumsy by absorbing one of those straight rights I'm confident he'll win comfortably on points.

I also noticed that all of his opponents there were lumbering forward with little defense, head movement or footwork. Kessler wont get that luxury with Calzaghe! Still a 50/50 when you bring everything into consideration though.

    I really can't wait.

the simple fact is about 85% of the shots in the highlight video would not land on joe, kessler would miss and pay. He hasnt faced an offence like joe will bring either, mundine being the only one to come close. Joe will bob his way in and out whilst landing flurrys, as he does, and win an MD. Kessler can win if hes to strong for joe, but lacy tried that.....didnt really work.

has a nice 1,2 old Kessler doesn't he.

I agree with the rest , he is too 1D for Calzaghe, but lets see if he has something new come fight night (if fight night comes) because he is so big and powerful i don't want to write him off yet.

I thought that was a thing with all boxers, they all do the work to build up their torso.

Well when Joe punches (if you wanna call it that) to me they look like slaps or like hes playing paddy cake...
I mean his punches are sloppy and put's nothing behind them.
It's not a hand speed contest. The object to beat the opponent hows he gonna beat Kess by caressing him?
It's a known fact Joe has issues with his hand.
Kesslers not the fastest, well then go and watch the Andrade fight to me the combos he threw were with good speed.
He threw in different angles and mixed it up.

It's easy to look good against people like Andrade, who look like they're wearing concrete boots compared to Calzaghe. Lacy found that out when he couldn't get close enough to Calzaghe to throw combinations, like the guys at Showtime explained on the broadcast of the fight. You can watch it free here along with a bunch of other fights.

Calzaghe isn't going to be plodding in at Kessler in straight lines, has footwork and handspped in a different league to Kessler. Kessler has the same chance lacy had, which is to land a big punch. Watch how well that went for him.

it's normally were people lose it from when they drain themselves so they can bully people naturally much smaller than them...

Like virtually all sports your legs are the most important thing. comes from the ground up...

Well then the same thing can be said for Veit, Ashira, Bika and Manfredo, and let's be honest here did he REALLY look good against Ashira, Bika and Manfredo. I mean really? Were people clamoring him for his brilliant performances in those fights? Nope. Peopl like to see the Joe they saw when he got dropped by Salem and fought thru it to win, the Joe they saw against Mger, the Joe who put on a phenomenal performance agains Lacy.
Kessler looke good against Andrade cause he was better then him the same way Joe was better Lacy on those nights.

No need to watch the fight again I just saw it again about 2 weeks ago I have the fight. Kess is not an inside fighter theres no need for him to try and get inside. If anything I think Joe should come inside and try to push Kess around.
Kess fights at a distance and takes his shots from there. It will be interesting to see who fires off 1st I have a feeling it will be Joe to initiate the action which is one thing I wish Kess would change.

I agree on the hand speed, footwork well I mean he moves well side to side but to be honest here is this gonna be a fight or a running competion? I mean whats the point in all of us wanting them to fight and discussing this fight for about a year now if now suddenly we wan't our fighter to use his footwork and jump on his bike
In that case let's just have them meet at a race track and we can settle the foot speed there.

This is pretty funny here, cause this means you think Kess and Lacy are the same style of fighters. I am 100% sure that Joe himself or for that matter anyone else here can tell you Kess and Lacy do not have the same style.
For starters (I wont go much into detail cause I can be here all day) Lacy didn't even throw combos or a fwocken jab back then. He was right handed bomb thrower who stalked and stalked until he lande his bomb.
Kess is not like that again the issue I see for Kess here is letting Joe get off 1st which would make it that Joe was/is briging the fight to Kess.
I'll be the 1st to tell you that Joes footwork and hand speed is better then Kess. At the same time I'll be the 1st to tell you Kess can put punches together has a very goo strong jab that at times looks like a straight left punch cause it pushes the opponents back and snaps their head.

Look all in all right now I hate both guys for not having the balls to just stand up and just make the fight. They are both acting like Pre-Madonnas and not boxers.
