katsidis was only able to subdue amonsot cos he has better stamina. joan could match kats' stamina and is a better technician than amonsot. with that said i think guzman would have schooled kats all night.Originally Posted by El Gamo
I dunno, I've never seen Guzman in a fight with a guy with Katsidis' power & pressure!Originally Posted by KKisser

how come kats wasn't able to stop amonsot who's been ko'd before by a lesser fighter? i remember guzman going toe to toe with barrios and more than held his own and was even able to rock him. katsidis has never faced a ring tactician like joan before. he even had problems with the 21 year old amonsot. how much more with a veteran like guzman?Originally Posted by Galaxy.
Katsidis hits like a mule compared to Barrios IMO. Remember Amonsot was in camp for 2 months training with Roach. It has been said that fighters can learn from a lose. Look at Kassim Ouma, he was KO'd early in his career but know I think most fans would agree his chin is one of the best in the game! Plus add in Guzman's history of inactivity & things become interesting IMO!Originally Posted by KKisser

katsidis packs some power but that is if he could hit his target and he hasn't fought anyone of note in previous fights. he does have heart i give him that but again technique and experience would be the big difference in a guzman-kats matchup.Originally Posted by Galaxy.
... and oh, amonsot just got cocky when kats nailed him with that shot which put him down. without those kds there might have been a different ending to that fight. i'm just not really that impressed with katsidis.
Sweet bro, I agree Katsidis is still pretty raw but I remember seeing Guzman struggling with Joe Morales a few years ago. It was a fight he should have looked outstanding in but I think weight may have been an issue there! Also Guzman tends to layoff during fights at times & I think he will not be able to do that with Katsidis!Originally Posted by KKisser
Either way I hope we get to see them fight, they're both great for the game & want to be matched against the best!

first we'll see how guzman fares against the bests at super featherweight. if he starts losing his fights at that division i think he'll move up and say he's no longer comfortable with the weight. i think we'll see the best matchups available made in the next couple of years especially now that toprank and gbp has agreed to co-promote.Originally Posted by Galaxy.
