Contrary to popular belief headgear does not do all that much...It is minimal on the protection....Especially at the Olympic level.....

Taylor's only about 3 1/2 years older than Pavlik, so the gap wasn't as big as 5 years.

It ridiculous to think he will win based on a amatuer fight. You ever notice those big pillow gloves and the headgear? Yes it makes a difference.

Your right Daxx, it's main purpose is the protect against cuts!

What pillow size gloves....They are 2oz over pro...Lighter then the avgerage sparring glove....I'll tell you what Put a standard pillow over your head...Let one of your buddies punch you in the side of your head about 20 times as hard as he can....Afterwards you tell me how much the pillow helped....The pillow that is thicker then the head gear that you claim makes sure no damage occurs....Then let the same guy put on 10oz gloves and punch you in the middle of your face 20 times where the head gear does not cover.....

Come back after dental work and let me know what you think of head gear and amateur gloves then

Just like Henry Tillman beat Tyson twice in amateurs what was the result in the pros ?? oh yea Tyson by ko in 1 amateurs don't mean anything i think Pavlik will ko Taylor and im sure im not the only one infact on this forum i think more people think Pavlik will win considering all of Taylor's boring controversial decisions where he keeps looking more and more lacklusture in each fight.
