I gotta throw in Bautista Vs Medina. was a great fight a lil ebb and flow there too. Trading knockdowns. Amonsot Vs. Katsidis was great too.

    Earl Katsidis

Jesus Soto Karass v Gilbert Venegas(YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS FIGHT)

the 2 french guys who beat the LIVING CRAP out of each other on the Mormeck Bell undercard

    Rachman Condes was pretty good

Ford-Angulo(was on recently, they just traded bombs allll night long!)

    Vazquez-Marquez(although it ended prematurely)

PBF-Oscar was the biggest fight in a long long time.

    Katsidis Amonosot was brutal.

Bilbo, you're list sucks friend Holy?!? RJJ HENSHAW!?Corrales Clottey was a beating for Corrales all the way.

For me personally,it's a split between Pavlik Miranda,JMM MAB and the Soto Karass fight.

Amazing,so many fight of the year contenders already and we are only in July?! More in these lists than the last year and a half combined!

How can say Coralles Clottey was too one sided and then say Pavlik Miranda was your joint favourite? Miranda got KTFO!

I've never even heard Ford, Angulo, Jesus Soto Karass or Gilbert Venegas but knowing you as well as I do I'm guessing the combined weight of all 4 of them is probably that of a medium sized heavyweight

I never said Jones Hanshaw was foty it's just one of my own faves being a big Roy Jones fan.

By the way, when a man weighs as much as Ford and Angulo do (just a guess here but I presume they are S.American or Philippino wheat farmers who weigh less than the straw they collect) is it possible for them to really throw bombs? I mean a heavyweight throws bombs, a straweight would throw at best those little fire snappers that kids buy in jokeshops.

If that's your thing though who I am I to stop you from enjoying your passion.

KO of the year would be Wilson's followed by Andy Lee destroying Daniels!

Yeah that was amazing..even for the sheer drama. Earls corner throwing in the towel and the ref ignoring it only for Earl to put Katsidis a*** on the canvas 10 seconds later! Amazing drama.
Thats probably mine so far out of what i have seen this year. (i havn't seen many unless i've caught the fights online soon after they've aired. HBO + other stations aren't friends with Youtube )

Even if we havn't had many big name fights of the year candidates, it's been a great year for the big names at least going head to head! I love the suspense and build up that goes into those matches, its sometimes more fun than the match! DLH vs PBF is a classic example, i found the matchup really exciting (yes i'm looking to get crucified for saying that lol) purely because a small thought in the back of my head thought DLH could do it and I was convinced he was gonna upset mayweather about 5 rounds in. Naturally i was the only Mayweather fan in the room so i was catching tons of heat haha. It's all good fun..roll on the other big fights.hatton/mayweather, Cotto/mosely, Taylor/Pavlik etc
We still got shitloads to look forward to!

    In no particular order:

    Diaz vs Freitas
    Pavlik vs Miranda
    Wison vs Nwodo
    Williams vs Margarito
    Darchinyan vs Donaire
    Cotto vs Judah

Had Freitas not quit I think that fight would have given us a great finish and would be the front runner and clear cut FOTY but it is what it is.

Earl v Katsidis was it for me, it had shades of Hamed v Kelley. Katsidis is just one of those guys that can't help but be in a good fight.

Don't wanna come off as an ass or anything but some of the fights you guys are listing are to laugh at CONSIDERING the fights will be listed along with:

    MAB-Morales I & III
    Zale-Graziano I & II
    Walcto-Ezzard II
    Marciano-LaStarza
    JLC-Chico I
Basilio 3 Times DeMarco, Saxton & SRR
    Foster-Finnegan
    Lopez-Ayala
    Gatti-Ward I & II
    Saad-Yaqui
    Castro-Jackson I

In all honesty I think at this moment it's Katsidis vs. Earl.

Miranda had more moments in the fight than Corrales ever did,the one which stands out the most when he landed like 4 straight right hands and Pavlik took like an inch back..ir when Kelly had him on the ropes, the camera was real close and Miranda landed 2-3 bombs, snapping Kelly's neck. Corrales never had such moments v Clottey and you're the only one to list that fight so.....

And the fights I mentioned were at WW jackass
