Hatton came out and talked a whole bunch of S*** and now it's time for him and Floyd to back up their talk. The only other fight out there for Floyd is Sugar Shane Mosley and Floyd will probably fight him next summer if he beats Hatton and Mosley beats Cotto. I don't know what some of you guys are wanting. Who should Floyd fight? This is gonna be a great stylistic match to watch. Finally, Floyd won't be so scared to trade with Hatton, both guys are around the same size, the fight will be in Vegas so Hatton won't be able to hold as incessantly as he could overseas, Floyd's elite boxing ability vs Hatton relentless pressure. Stop F****** complaining and enjoy. THIS is the fight that the world should be awaiting.

S*** i dont even like floyd or hatton that much outside of the ring, but i'll defend the hell out of both of them for taking this fight.
CC back at cha. That's what I'm talking about. These guys could have bickered over money or just made excuses but they both manned up and made the fight.

Instead hes gonna make Hatton come up and fight in weight that we ALL saw he can't hack...

For some reason I thought this fight would be made at a catchweight?

yep, or even williams..even Malignaggi would be a better fight at that weight

Why? I mean besides the fact that I don't see how a Malignaggi fight at any weight would be better than a Hatton fight, Malignaggi's never even fought at 147? I know Hatton didn't look that great at 147 but at least he's fought there.

Now he wants to fight Ricky Hatton at 147 for the Welter weight strap?
What a joke! What has Ricky done to deserve a shot at another title in a weight division he can't hang in?

Here is a little clip/screen shot of a post I found rather humorous.

    Sorry, that was a sneeze.

I totaly agree with you on that but IMO this fight has nothing to do with titles in Floyds eyes...I think he just wants to shut Hatton up and show him the difference between fighting PBF and JLC past prime....Nothing more nothing less...It is as though Floyd has no choice in this one...He doesn't fight Hatton he will be labeled as ducking him if he ever fights again

So if mayweather was to come down to 140 and fight hatton at LWW it would be ok then? Hatton would be able to handle it there ebcause mayweather would b 7 pounds lighter?

I agree, his record at 140 is no great shakes and he did not fight Tszyu.

The Hug Man vs The Running Man.
This should be an interesting match up but I bet it will be another Floyd borefest.
    You see the body language?
One is saying: "I come to hug."
and the other is saying: "I Come to run."

One thing I'll say about Floyd, and I don't like him at all, is he was perhaps the best 130 lb figheter I've ever seen. He had excellent power at that weight and had a much more aggressive style. This style of Floyd since the Gatti fight I can't stand.

No pleasing any of you people.

You people rag on him for not fighting Hatton all this time then he finally does and you say he's a fraud, whatever

Sorry foklks, but when it comes to the p4p stats and who has achieved most during their fights, it has to be Floyd Mayweather Jr simply because he is the p4p leader, and is beyond anyone else in the p4p list.

I have to ask this of everyone who rates Floyd the "P4P King" What made him that, because it seems like it's been since his victory over the shot Arturo Gatti

I honestly don't think Cotto's handlers would have wanted him to fight Floyd this fall. They've done a great job of managing Cotto and increasing the difficulty of his opponents. I don't think they'd have him jump from Zab all the way up to Floyd. They want him to have one more tough fight to prove himself, and Mosley is the guy who can do that.

I would've preferred to see Mayweather-Mosley instead, but I can live with Mayweather-Hatton. If Floyd beats Hatton and doesn't fight the winner of Cotto-Mosley, then he should be open to criticism.
