Hard to say, but PBF seems to be the popular choice.

PBF by UD (wide at that). I just don't see him being hurt by anybody and outside of that you'd have to outbox him to win and i don't see anybody doing that either.
hattons gonna have to fight the bout if his life to win it and ive got a feeling he will. i think hattons style is the type that mayweather likes the least. im predicting (And hoping) for a hatton points win.
Hatton's power at 147 is questionable. He would have to trap Floyd on the ropes and bang to the body consistently.Luckily for him,Floyd has a tendancy to drift to the topes voluntarily. Aside from that,I don't know what else Hatton can do. I wouldn't say he has a great jab or any one powerful punch. He needs to make sure he roughs Mayweather up,doesn't give him a second to breath.
Having said all of that,I favour Floyd. I think he'll be too elusive and he'll probably potshot Hatton from the outside on his way to a UD.Hatton has to outwork Floyd, cut off the ring etc etc,I don't think he can doo all of that.
Hatton can wear him down and force a late stoppage but he is going to have to go through hell to do it and be in the shape of his life. relentless just coming forward all the time.
Floyd is favourite yes and the best boxer in the world but he hasn't fought anyone like Hatton yet and doesn't like all out warfare (Gatti couldn't trouble him like Ricky will be able to)
The only thing that worries me is Hatton's cut problem
I can't wait![]()
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
I think that it's guaranteed that we're gonna see both fighters at their absolute best. This is Ricky's career defining fight, the one he's waited for, so there's no way he won't be at his best. Likewise, Floyd isn't going to come out of retirement and risk his perfect record without being at his absolute best as well (not to mention the extra motivation each has in that they don't really like the other and would love to wreck the other's perfect record). That being said, there is NO excuses coming from either fighter after this one.
Jesus Chavez fought very much like Hatto in his fight with Floyd not letting up the pressure at all and virtually throwing himself at Floyd. It was a great fight whilst it lasted and Chavez was giving Mayweather problems but he couldn't sustain the pace and his corner pulled him out.Originally Posted by Mark TKO
I see a similar thing happening again with Hatton.
Floyd is as he says the creme de la creme of boxing and I expect him to put on a masterclass
Cant wait !
This will be the toughest fight for both men . Ricky will press teh action but at welter I cant see him being that effective. At light welter id give him a good shot but the Colazzo fight sticks in my mind and Floyd looked strong at light middle vs Oscar
Its gotta be Floyd and its gotta be points 116-114
Ah but hatton can sustain the pace i go for Hatton ud![]()
i picked mayweather by ko think around the 10th hatton wont be abel to hit him and get frustrated
..and after he wins he is going to fly to never never land with Peter Pan and TinkerbellOriginally Posted by WelshDevilRob

i just cant see hatton winning this one.
everyone that has fought floyd has tried to pressure him against the ropes and land a barrage of punches but it NEVER works. this seems to be everyones gameplan coming in to fight floyd but floyds quickness on his feet is too much. and when they do manage to get floyd against the ropes, his defense is too good. i dont think hatton will be able to land any body punches cause of floyds defense technique (aka shoulder roll). i dunno, i see hatton maybe winning 2 rounds. only way hatton is winning is if he can manage to KO floyd. other than that, should be an easy day at the office for floyd.
edit: i've also been wrong with my last 5 boxing predictions
Lightning Strikes Twice
I think it will be a very exciting fight. I've moved towards this lately.
I think people are discounting Hatton a bit. He's a rough guy, people can ridicule his tactics, but all the roughhousing might be an effective thing against Floyd. I don't think people notice Floyd's conditioning enough, its remarkable, but if any fight could tire him out it would be this one. If Hatton can start to maul Floyd a little bit, wrestling a bit that could tire Floyd out. Also Hatton gets in and out pretty quick. People talk about Cotto being a tougher fight but outside of Cotto's power I disagree. Hatton's roughness on the inside might help him plus he's quicker on his feet than Cotto is, I could see PBF controlling distance easier against Cotto than Hatton.
I see Hatton being relentless, mauling a bit and throwing a lot of punches, and in the process forcing a more interesting fight on PBF than say Castillo or Baldomir who, especially Baldomir, are plodders compared to Hatton. But I still think PBF will win a decision, a fairly close one, maybe 7-5 but I could see him looking less in control, less comfortable, in this fight than any other just cause of Hatton's style. Outside of a tall guy with a good sense of distance and a good jab, I don't see many other styles more difficult for PBF.
And I definitely don't see Floyd stopping him and I definitely don't understand the Jesus Chavez/Hatton comparisonThat's just about as bad as the "I see this fight going the same way as the Gatti fight" comments.
Floyd is too slick and polished. I like Hatton but Floyd isn't going to brawl with him and Hatton can't outbox Floyd.
Floyd by UD
It's best to be quiet and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt!
If I was Hatton I'd go into this fight attempting to replicate some of the style Hopkins showed against Winky, not crowd pleasing and borderline illegal, but Hatton's gotta rough up Floyd with some "unintentional" headbutts, low-blows, etc.
I really don't know how this one will play out, I could see it being a close, competitive fight or it could be a wide UD for Floyd in the same vein of his fight with Baldo (though Hatton is a much quicker and better fighter) or like Paulie - N'dou, though I hope not.
