Calzaghe on Hatton
Joe Calzaghe, the world super-middleweight champion, yesterday spoke of his delight for Ricky Hatton that the Mancunian had signed for his 'dream fight' with the world's No 1 pound-for-pound-fighter, Floyd Mayweather.....

Good to see the camaraderie between the two biggest names in British boxing today. They've both always struck me as decent guys and fairly humble, except when promoting their fights.Originally Posted by Smashup

UK TICKET INFO
Hatton vs. Mayweather Ticket Update
12.08.07 - By Paul Speak: There has been a lot of speculation in the press and media about the availability of tickets for this fight. The venue has still not been finalised. I have liaised with Richard Schaefer, Chief Executive Officer of Goldenboy Promotions. Richard has informed me that it is hoped a venue will be confirmed within the next week.
Once the venue has been confirmed, there will be a 2-3 week count down to the global release of tickets for the fight.
Goldenboy Promotions has confirmed that there will be a large number of tickets for fans travelling from the United Kingdom and Europe for what is likely to be the fight of the year.
Once an allocation of fight tickets for the United Kingdom has been agreed with Goldenboy Promotions, a box office, based in Manchester, will release the tickets on a date to be agreed with Goldenboy Promotions.
Prior to the fight there will be a promotional tour with Mayweather and Hatton. The tour will take in various cities in the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
The public are invited to these events and your support for Ricky will be appreciated.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/6928430.stm
I booked a couple of week back. I fly out (Manchester) on the 5th December, to Heathrow, then on to LA. From there I drive (3 hours ish) to Vegas. Stay there till Sunday night then back to La for a couple of days. Cannot wait now lads just hope I can get hold of a ticket

Should be okay. The UK ticket agent is confident they can accomodate the demand from over this side of the pond.

So...say there's a travelling support of 12-15,000, how many seats are Americans getting if the ticket agent can fill all the Brit ticket requests? 3 in the corner perhaps....Originally Posted by Steelie

As am away from tomorrow night and won't be in UK to sort it out myself and 5 mates have provisionally booked a 3 day package with Thomas Cook on the reserve list. They ain't got the tickets yet but are confident they will get more allocatedWe paid 20 percent deposit which we will get back if they don't get extra tickets (or its a ringside one or something ie 1000 quid !)
Here's hoping my bro sorts it out when I am away and I come back to find out am going
The trip will be a killer as the flights aren't direct (direct flights are about 50 grand now aren't they) but I can't miss this no way.
Here's hoping a few of us get together over there for a beer or ten....![]()
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
I hope you strike it lucky there bif, because according to a seperate thread on the main board....British fans have been allocated 4,000 tickets, with the same for American fans, and the rest being retained by the casino for their high-rollers. I knew that the statement mentioned above from Steelie was a bunch of bullcrap, cause in a casino venue, they could probably sell every ticket to Hatton fans who wanted to be there.Originally Posted by littlebif
