Here we go with this stuff already....pbf could beat ali in his prime and people would still find something to say.....most people realize he's gonna win again probably pretty impressively but i think it's a little early to not be giving him credit for a fight he hasn't fought yet, oh but wait let hatton win and the fucking world will rejoyce.....

And that's the bottom line cus Stone Cold said so!

I am rooting for Hatton and I wish him luck.

Cotto vs PBF at 147 and then I will be excited.

Not to keen about Hatton/PBF at 147.

Hatto should have insisted it be at 140 since Hatton is the best at 140.

    Is there a rematch clause?
Mayweather is naturally smaller than Hatton so your excuse is invalid.
No way on earth that PBF is naturally smaller than Hatton, if even he did debut 7 pounds lighter than Hatton did. He is 2 inches taller has something like a 7 inch reach advantage and you only have to look at their frames and the muscle mass to see that OBF is a far bigger guy - not an excuse - just think you're wrong!

PBF inside 7 Hatton stopped on his feet
HOw can you say that Hatton weighs 30-40 pounds more than PBF inbetween fights... Mayweather walks around at 150 at most while Hatton walks around anywhere from 170 to 180 thats 20 to 30 pounds more. Hatton has a much thicker body than PBF, and PBF looked freakishly big against Oscar Dela Hoya but he still only weighed 150 which is less than Hatton comes in fight night at 140.

I don't get why people keep trying to force that floyd will be a great. He may be very talented and skilled but floyd is no great compare to ray robinson. floyd will just be one of those boxer like sweet pea. Floyd just doesn't have other greats in his era to be greater than what he is now.

If he beats hatton which I think he should then it would add on to his credential but he'll have to beat cotto williams too.

And don't forget its not just winning a boxing match, its how you punish your oppenents thats what makes you great.

LETS FACE IT FLOYD DOES NOT HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A LEGENDARY GREAT LIKE ALI OR ROBINSON. FLOYD DOES NOT HAVE THAT WILL TO PUNISH OPPENENTS CONSISTENTLY. to him a s.d or u.d is enough, but really it is NOT!

whitaker is considered an all time great by everybody that watches boxing
if mayweather retires on the same level as sweet pea then he too will be an all time great.

the rest of your post is nonsense as well, but less so than the part i singled out

agasint a style like flyod has, the weight difference of 7lb will have no fucking effect on this fight. i like you and alot of your posts danny, but u got to get off all this maweather hating shit, its the same every post u make about floyd, your grasping for anyything to take a shot at this guy. ir eally thought after he moved up and beat oscar you would get off his case, u did for a while now its started again:/

some how i really doubt that, i think DLH was a way tougher test, and he passed with a C IMO, i see him getting an A+ against Hatton, completely dominating him

I agree somwhat with the thread title in that in the grand scheme of things, with the fight taking place at WW,it still won't make anything clearer. So if Hatton wins,is he the best WW?I don't think so.

excellent point, lets keep it in perspective.

There is nothing wrong with this matchup and kudo's to both guys for making it finally happen.

Hmmm. JT, ya changing personalities between paragraphs here?

I agree, though, Floyd's fighting to fight. Money and glory bring some of the pleasure. The fight itself brings the rest.

Currently I have been uncharacteristically quiet, but in the past I have been very vocal about the match up

if he can wobble DLH at 154 then why not hatton at 147. i haven't seen a fighter yet walk through PBF punches like the haters say will happen every fight.

i think alot of people are starting to comment on fighters and fights that they haven't watched. i suggest that some of you take a little trip over to the file sharing board.

Collazo beat Hatton at 147, so Mayweather should be able to do it.

Face it, Callazo beat Hatton. Could have gone either way, but looking back, Callazo was conistent and finished strong, even with the knockdown.

Good fight for Mayweather though. A fight, but not a claim for pound for pound number one status.

I would like to see PBF with Williams or Cotto. I would even think that Paul Mallinagi and Pbf would be a great fight. Both are very hard to hit and have similar styles and they are both lighting quick.
