Usually the big guys get motivated and make a sprint for the title.

Recent history shows PLENTY. If McCall and Briggs can be title holders, Tua can.

If he's active enough he'll be in shape, and he'll get a shot. He's got a good shot to be a short term title holder. He's got 2 things most of the heavy's don't. Power and a chin.

Tua is done. He beat Saul Montana? As a cruiser that guy was a blown up light heavy- I saw him 10 years ago and he sucked. If you let Tua walk over, load up and hit you he is very dangerous. If you don't stand still and hit him back he is considerably less so. I don't see him getting ko'd because that would require standing in front of him, etc... But getting shut out over 12? Yeah.

Awww come on now Lyle. So he took a couple of years off, he did make for some highlight reel kos so at least there is the entertainment value of that, even if you aren't a fan of his.
...he has the chance to work his way up to fight contenders and title holders and he sits at home on his fat a** and fights like once a year and retires and unretires and retires......I'm tired of him and all his fans saying he's the next big thing and he'll win a title.

David Tua's career right now is worse Evander Holyfield's
You're definately right about that. It's a damn shame too.

The way some people gets excited for Tua means something for me. I really don't know Tua that much. He may be in for a comeback.

Tua has the potential to be at least a one hit wonder.... Rahman, McCall, Briggs, and many others did it. If he's active and given a shot he can land the one punch. Overall, I don't see him being a dominate champ, but he's got enough to be a one hit wonder.

I think he's better than Rahman. And how many times did Rahman hold a belt? It's all about promotion, not talent. Tua hasn't had a good promoter or he would have gotten back to back title shots like Golota, Judah, etc...

Tua should have signed with King and he'd be fighting for a title soon.
