I got to go see "Guns'n'Roses" (the quotes are because the only original bandmembers left were Axl and Dizzy Reed)

But hey they fucking rocked and I loved every minute of their show even if I did have to put up with hearing Papa Roach .......they should have gone before Sebastian Bach, who also rocked the house.


I figure this is my only shot to see the closest thing to the original lineup of Van Halen and I am psyched about it!








I've also seen Lynyrd Skynyrd ( of course they were my first concert and I would have had it no other way! ), The Doobie Brothers who opened up for Skynyrd, Violent Femmes, and Jimmy Buffett

Seeing Skynyrd is pretty fucking cool, I love them. That must've been awsome. I don't really like VH, but it'd still be cool to see Eddie play, he's a guitar god. I've seen a ton of shows, but the best one I ever saw was Pantera, it was one of their last shows too. My uncle has seen Pink Floyd twice, lucky bastard, and I used to work with a lady who saw the Beatles.

Freebird live is just one of those things, the show is over, the crowd cheers for an encore and there is just one beam of light on a golden eagle statue and the bird whistle started up and people went nuts!!!.....it's very special to see and hear live.

Any one who thinks van halen started hair metal is an idiot and obviously hasn't heard their songs that don't get a lot of air time. Them, AC/DC, and sabbath all pioneered the hard rock and later born heavy metal genres.

I really don't know why vanhalen always gets snubbed but ac/dc and black sabbath are borderline worshiped when it comes to historians talking about their music. Some bullshit VH1 countdown show had the 50 greatest metal songs of all time and not 1 VanHalen song made it. Meanwhile the scorpions and quit riot made the countdown. The scorpians have been around since the 60's but comeon thats more hair than anything else and quiet riot got the nod simply because randy rhoads used to play in that band.

You ever see Live without a net? His drum solo there is ridiculous. He finishes it by playing so fast there's like feedback or something. It's insane.

Sammy is a good replacement but i agree its just not van halen without roth. Now van cherone.....
